last day before lottery, bring the news for your team
I'm a Grizzlies fan as well, and I believe you got it all right. The only thing I disgree on is DeRozan. I hope that Memphis does not pick him because I'm not real sold on him at this point. But other than that, you got it all right. I would like to see us get Earl Clark as well.
Future #1 Pick Grizzlies:
PG-Conley(will be a Quick, Good Pure PG)
SG- OJ Mayo(Flat Out Scorer)
SF- Rudy Gay(Explosive WingMan)
PF- Blake Griffin(Athletic POWER Forwad, post presense)
C- Marc Gasol(Soft shooting center, good potential)
Mavericks
PG-Kidd(Not really like Conley)
SG-Terry/Stackhouse(Not as big time scorers as Mayo)
SF-Howard(Comparable to Rudy I guess)
PF-Dirk(not a whole lot in common to Blake, they both will score?)
C-Eric Dampier(Defense he is not bad)
I dont get the comparison. Explain?
no offense and most respect, marc gasol is not soft. he is by far a banger inside, but not anywhere near the calibur of the physical centers like howard, jefferson, perkins, bynum, shaq. those guys are very physical, marc is now going to be a second year player and should gain some more pollished post skills.
on the chad ford comparison, i think he compares the mavs coming from nowhere before they started to build around the 3 J's (kidd-jackson-mashburn).
In my opinion, team need a banger at PF(only griffin not the fake hill), need some depth too, a back up for gay(with the 28th pick), they'll stay a lotto team for years, in a weak draft with no bigs, i'd go on potential, so De rozan makes sense(a big in free agency, another one in 2010 draft).
I'm sure everybody is excited to see where their teams land tomorrow. So let's go ahead and make the final discussions about who you think your team should draft. I'm going to start with the grizzlies.

Grizzlies, no doubt need blake griffin, if they land 1st. If they land 2nd, they should take rubio, and look for offers from everybody...but only for powerfowards and shooting/point guards (powerfoward starter, shooting/point guards-bench). If they land 3rd, they absolutley must take jordan hill. They can't afford to take thabeet (loaded at center) unless they can get anything out of him, which i'm sure they could. BY DRAFT RULES, grizzlies cannot land 4th-5th pick.....so if they land 6th, and griffin, rubio, thabeet, hill, harden are all gone, which i think it may go in that order to be honest, the grizzlies need to take deRozan or Clark. They could take curry which could disturb new york's plans, possibly trade curry for new yorks first pick and a player.

In conclusion, somewhere in my mind makes me believe the grizz can finally strike some luck and end up with a top 3 pick. If this happens, the grizz should finally be out of the bottom standings and somewhere in the middle of the road, which is fine for a strong young talented team. The largest need is a strong powerfoward to take relief off of gay/mayo. Gasol should BOOM this year. Conely should be a step better than last year, which was a step up from the year before. the secondary need is to get some bench players. the extra pick in the first round needs to be signed in the offseason for sure, and maybe even the 2nd round pick depending on how he performs. If the grizz can only get a SG out of the draft, they need to BATTLE FOR a PF in free agency, also sign warrick back. best of lucky everybody, peace.
