qDizzle32ParticipantHoping and assuming Derrick Rose decides to not allow his minor injury change his desire to play, with how unhealthy he has been these past two years, who are your final four picks to not make this team?

Chilbert arenasParticipantAndre Drummond, Gordon Hayward, Parson Chandler I think for sure are all gone based on the amount of PT theyve been getting. Final cut should go to Plumlee but they might need to bring an extra big

Jr. ROXASParticipantI have a bad feeling Cousins will be cut and that Plumlee will be taken..

BlueRivers25ParticipantCousins has a minor knee injury and has shown very little when on the floor. Mason may not be as talented as Cousins, but he is healthy and fills a nitch role onthe team.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI have nine spots locked up, which are:
G – Derrick Rose
G – Kyrie Irving
G – Damian Lillard – He’s too good to cut and with Rose on the squad, it’s good to have insurance
G – Stephen Curry
G/F – James Harden
G/F – Klay Thompson
F – Rudy Gay
F – Kenneth Faried
F/C – Anthony Davis
—
That leaves three spots avaialbe and the players left are:
G/F – DeMar DeRozan
F – Gordon Hayward
F – Kyle Korver
F – Chandler Parsons
C – Andre Drummond
C – DeMarcus Cousins
C – Miles Plumlee
—
Cuts I’m pretty sure about:
Kyle Korver – He only played three minutes vs Brazil and didn’t play vs DR. He’s a great shooter, but doesn’t do anything else. Team USA has great shooters in Curry and Thompson, plus a couple more solid shooters.
Chandler Parsons – He only played five minutes vs Brazil and didn’t play vs DR. The addition of Rudy Gay makes him expendable.
—
Team USA decisions:
Andre Drummond, DeMarcus Cousins and Mason Plumlee – One of these players will be cut. Drummond played great last night and made this decision a lot harder.
DeMar DeRozon and Gordon Hayward – I think one of these players will make the squad. DeRozan played great last night. I think who plays better game five will be the deciding factor.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI wouldnt consider Faried a lock..In all my years of watching USA International team selecting players they seem to go for guys that can do multiple things. While Faried is a great rebounder and hustle guy,his skills are limited..Even his coach Shaw mentioned it last season..I think he’ll be among the 4 cuts along with Korver and Plumlee..Im not sure about who will be the other player let go….

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe started both games. He played 23 minutes the first game and put up 11 points and 9 rebounds. He only played 11 minutes the second game, but that was due to Coach K wanting to look at the reserves.
I’d be shocked if he was cut based on what reports say he’s done in practice, what he did in the showcase game in Vegas and what he did in the first exhibition game.
We’ll see though.

MorseWillParticipantI think it would be wise to keep both Cousins and Drummond. This allows Anthony Davis who has been playing great to slide down to the PF spot. This also gives them more depth and big bodies in games against teams like Spain (Gasol brothers) and Brazil (Nene, Splitter, Varejao).
Just a thought, but I just think Cousins and Drummond bring a little more at this point in their careers than Plumlee

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantCousins did exactly what he needed last night. 1-1 2pts but 8 rebounds in limited minutes.
Imo coach k should start cousins at the C and Davis at the PF especially against a team like Spain who have the gasol brothers and serge ibaka
