JNixonParticipantDallas v. Denver
This game features a very nice matchup with Roody Beaubois and Ty Lawson. Both have nice speed and both can play both guard spots. I can’t wait to see who gets the best of theat matchup head-to-head. Also, we get a chance to see rookie Dominique Jones play on the Dallas squad.
Houston v. Pheonix
I’m very excited to see a prospect I like alot personally, in physically gifted point-forward Earl Clark for Pheonix. Also PF Gani Lawal of GA Tech suits up for them and Mr. Irrelevant PF/C Dwayne Collins from Miami (FL). Scottie Reynolds also made their SL roster. Houston has rookie PF Patrick Patterson of Kentucky and PF/C Jordan Hill on their roster. Chase Budinger, a 2nd round steal at SG/SF, also is a notable player. Glad to see SG Jermaine Taylor on their team too, and super speedy Ishmael Smith also is on the squad for Houston.
Los Angeles Lakers v. Detroit
Very interesting matchup here. 2 oversized SF’s match up in Devin Ebanks and Austin Daye. Ebanks is a defensive gem as a prospect, while Daye is a perimeter-oriented offensive prospect. Another good matchup should be Derrick Caracter, a talented PF and 2nd rounder, against a muscular and undersized bull at PF in Jonas Jerebko. Greg Monroe, a big-time PF/C prospect, is also playing in this game, as is 2nd round offensive wiz Terrico White. For LA, notable players include a talented but challenged swingman in Gerald Green, former Maryland Terp and defensive wiz D.J. Strawberry, and former HS phenom Javaris Crittenton.
Golden State v. New Orleans
As big a mystery as Lebron’s destination is this matchup. We could be looking at 2 of the better young PG’s in the game in Collison and Curry matching up, but it is a little shaky if either will play. GOD, pleassseeeee let them play. I’ve been a good boy this year, please let me see this matchup. GSW have 3 stretch PF’s on their roster in former 1st rounder Brandan Wright, a Swiss Army knife in Anthony Randolph (if he’s not dealt), and rookie mismatch threat Ekpe Udoh. Marcus Thornton, who was an electric 2nd round steal last year, rookie stretch PF Craig Brackins, and energetic 1st rounder Quincy Pondexter will play as well
Any thoughts?

JNixonParticipantHe was a beast every time I watched New Orleans play. He has great scoring instincts and he makes tough shots.

JNixonParticipantWhat does everyone expect from these matchups?

Russell0WestbrookParticipantI hope LA picks up Green and Crittenton and make them relevent like they done for shannon brown I hated the Lakers gave him up in the Gasol trade. Image Green, Ebanks, Odom, and Crittenton coming off the bench they would be fun to watch all Green needs is somebody to let him play like Denver does with JR and if he cant get it going sit him on the bench.

R-Dot-13ParticipantI’d like to see Roddy B play.. Im a huge fan and I think he will be the starter on that team by the end of the year, they guy can ball.
I also like Marcus Thornton.. with legit starter minutes he could be a 20 ppg scorer

JNixonParticipantDominique Jones looks good right now….Making strong slashes to the rim. 2 straight And-1’s. Playing solid D on Coby Karl

WhyParticipantI was wondering, will Anthony Randolph play this evening? I think the Warriors and Knicks agreed to the deal, but I don’t know if its been made “official” with contracts being signed and things. Any idea if he’s playing?

JNixonParticipantRandolph isn’t playing for now that he got dealt I wouldn’t think…He might though so don’t quote me
@rdot

McWinningParticipantDaniel Orton sucks.
20 minutes and 0 rebounds?
i thought he was supposed to be a good rebounder?
i think i remember he had like zero rebounds too yesterday lol.

McWinningParticipantHes a Joel Anthony clone. At his upside lol.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 10:38am #350472
MagikKnickParticipantRandolph, I heard hes in Vegas practicing with the Knicks SL team, but won’t play.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 10:39am #350473
JNixonParticipantYeah he’s looked like a horrible rebounder. Rebounding is an effort thing, and he’s looked very lazy out there. He sucks offensively too, but he will make 1 great blocked shot a game just about.

MagikKnickParticipantWhat HAS Daniel Orton done well so far? I knew he wasnt gonna do well, but hes not doing anything at all…for those who have been watching, is he even showing “signs” of one day being decent?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 10:41am #350479
McWinningParticipantHes showing signs of being like Joel Anthony, he cant rebound, he cant score, but just like Anthony hes a good defender.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 10:44am #350484
JNixonParticipantYeah Joel Anthony is a good comparison for him. I think his upside is a Kwame Brown/Erick Dampier type. But yeah, other than the occasional monster block, he’s been terrible. But who’s surprised?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 10:45am #350488
McWinningParticipantHis dad.

0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 11:00am #350498
JNixonParticipantI believe he is. That’s what I’ve heard
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/09/2010 - 11:03am #350500
MagikKnickParticipantI dont think so, they took his name off of there now 11-player roster

JNixonParticipantGood looking out Magikknick. Really disappointing. I believe he could’ve made a case for the team.
