Am i The Only One Who Love's This Guy's Game & Thinks He's A Surefire Star ?
Let Me Know What You Guys Think . .
He's going to be something special.
Hes going to be a great leader.
I think he has 1st option potential and could do all the same things Tyreke Evans did last season. Think about it. He played his entire year at Cincy in a role similar to the one Evans played before he was allowed to dominate the ball/play PG at Memphis. Evans was underwhelming statistically and in terms of his impact much of the same way Stephenson was this past season, until Calipari smartly let him run everything. Stephenson would be a lotto pick if Coach Cronin gave him that kind of freedom.
Instead, he played with a chubby SG in a PG's body last year in Deonta Vaughn, who had a large role in why Cincy nosedove after a promising nonconference slate. I think if Coach Cronin would've given Stephenson the keys to the car and let him play PG/dominate the ball like Coach Calipari did with Evans, we'd be discussing Stephenson in a different light. Cincy would've been a solid tourny team, Vaughn would've been more efficient, and Yancy Gates would be a great trio to round that team out. Cincy had a talented roster, just bad coaching IMO. If they used Stephenson right they could've been good last year and Lance would be a much more touted prospect.
He'll be a very, very good pro. The game fits him better.
I like the comparison to Tyreke but lance is a little slower. He is however a better shooter.
its hard to tell because tyreke got the oppritunity to dominate the ball in college then in the nba. lance didnt get to dominate the ball, and will he end up on a team that allows him to do so? i dont know. i have thought that minny should take some big risks this year and draft cousins at 4 and lance at 16 if they dont get evan turner. i think he could be a legit 2 guard in this league meaning 5 plus all star games in his career but i am also scared he could turn into jr smith in terms of jacking up shots but he gets to the rim better than jr so im not sure. he definately has the potential to dominate games, imo.
THANK YOU!! ya man hes gonna be big, got the swag, court vision, and most importantly the game to be a great player in the L. I'll be shocked if aint a 1st round pick
I know he's got mad potential - but is supposed to be a bit of a punk - don't know how coachable he is.
He's A Hooper Man . . i Honestly Don't Think There's Too Many Guys That Can Stop Him On Any Level . . PLUS He's A PitBull On Defense As Well . . Plus i Love His Swagger
He's got all the tools to be a great scorer and leader in the NBA. We'll see if he can put it all together. If he can he'll be something else
i Totally Agree ; Who Do You Guys Compare Him To ?
who can't shoot...he's not in shape or that quick & athletic either, but he's strong
his biggest problem is above the neck...he's not that bright and has "character issues"...he's probably a first round talent on potential alone, but no one is going to give the guy guaranteed money...look for him near the top of the second round
My comparison for him is Ron Artest in his Indiana Pacers days.
i might get ripped for this one but he reminds me of a poor man's paul peirce
^That used to be my comparison! But Pierce has always been a better pure shooter and until the Big 3 joined together, Pierce didn't compete on D like Lance does. So I changed it
He's A Little Like A Combo Of Artest & A Bigger Chauncey Billups . . . Bt With Flair
my bad man i didnt mean to steal your comparison lol just came to me that IMO they have similar styles of play.
i compare him to brandon jennings attitude in his first year in the nba.
I thought for a while he might slide back, and be there for the Kings 2nd - and I wondered if he and Tyreke could play together (still not sure). But now I'm pretty sure he'll be long gone by 33. Where does he go? Would Chicago take him at 17?
The Knicks are looking to get a late first round pick. Maybe for stephenson
Jennings is pretty humble despite what he said to media. Obviously he showed that maybe he knew what he was talking about. He works hard on his game and was able to survive overseas when he was getting no playing time.
