LaMarcus Aldridge

Although I'm a firm believer in keeping Aldridge until next year during his contract year (When he's bound to play better and have more trade value) Portland would do itself a great favor to at least listen to some offers. Let's say the Chicago Bulls call up Olshey with an offer including Joakin Noah, or the Rockets had an offer of Chandler Parsons and Omer Asik, the Blazers front court should at least think about it. What would some realistic trade scenarios be that could have Portland thinking twice about keeping Aldridge? I know something involving Noah would definitely intrigue me...

I could see Kevin Love since

I could see Kevin Love since he wants out of Minnesota or Blake Griffin involved in a deal since he wants to be more of the focal point. I would say Carmelo but then you would have to do a three way trade because he would want a bigger market with a title contender. Dare I say Marc Gasol? Not sure if that would happen but you never know. Just a few off the top of my head that I've pondered before. I get it though, Aldridge wants out and needs to go for some assets.

Realistically I couldn't see

Realistically I couldn't see Marc Gasol as an option. I'd say a trade with the Pistons but I think the Pistons would rather trade one of their bigs for some perimeter help seeing as they're already going to have a problem with minutes down low.

I don't think it would happen

I don't think it would happen either with Gasol because the Grizzlies are good with him and I don't know if they get any better, but I wouldn't be that shocked if it did happen. I just mentioned him because I could see a player like him or his caliber for Aldridge. If that actually did happen, it would more likely be next year though, assuming the Grizzlies don't make it out of the West and want a change. Pistons would be nice with Aldridge in their lineup. I actually like the Pistons ahead of the Knicks in the East now as is. Pretty close between those two teams and the Nets. I would like to see a four way trade involving Carmelo, Aldridge, Love and Griffin though it wouldn't happen.

I can see a trade for a guy

I can see a trade for a guy like Monroe along with some pieces like KCP and Stuckey (to match salary).

A trade I would like is to the Warriors for Bogut (expiring contract), Barnes, Speights and draft pick for Aldridge and Lopez

The Blazers would have:
C. Bogut, Leonard
PF. Robinson, Speights
SF. Barnes, Wright
SG. Batum, Matthews
PG. Lillard, McCollum

Noah

Bulls are not dealing Noah for LA. Defense, defense, defense.

this could work

Pistons get:

PF Aldridge
C Leonard
SG Matthews

Portland gets:
C Monroe
PF Villanueva (expiring contract)
SG Stuckey (expiring contract)
GF Singler

-Pistons get a better a pick and pop player to pair with post dominant Drummond, a SG in Matthews to stretch the floor and ease KCP in, and a backup C in Leonard.

C Drummond/Leonard
PF Aldridge/Jerebko
SF Smith
SG Matthews/KCP
PG Jennings/Billups

-Portland gets a quality big in Monroe and expiring contracts so they can resign monroe and continue to rebuild.

C Monroe/Lopez
PF Robinson/Freeland
SF Batum
SG Stuckey/Mcollum
PG Lilliard/McCollum/Williams
