Lakers get Nash, R Lopez, P Patterson, and H Thabeet
Suns get Scola, J Flynn, D Morris, Laker's 1st rounder from Dallas, Houston's first rounder in 2013
Rockets get Pau and Laker's first rounder in 2013
LA gets their PG and remains big up front. Hopefully the combo of Lopez, Patterson, McRoberts, and Murphy can get 15+ points/game. Lakers then have the option of resigning Nash and Lopez over the off season or trying free agent market. Downside is they could not resign anyone so could be a rental and have to eat Thabeet's contract although he could be a 5 min/game back up for Drew.
Suns get some young players back for Nash, plus Scola who can play and tutor young Suns frontcourt players and will now have two first round picks each of the next two years. Nbadraft net has those pics being MKG and Damian Lilliard this year and A Len/Rodney Hood and T Mbakwe/D Waiters next year. Excellent opportunity to reload.
Rockets get Pau without giving up K Martin and just lose their two PFs and switching spots with LA in 2013.
Trade Machine has this improving LA and Houston by 4 games. Suns getting the 2 first rounders is obv most important but gives them a solid base of young guys to build around.
As a Suns fan I wouldn't want to do this. Scola is nice, but they need to rebuild and they don't get any true prospects and the 1st round picks will be late 1st's so they probably won't be that great.
Certainly they’ll try to cost-cut before then but if they win a title as is? How far will the Buss family go to keep winning championships?

You can’t put too much stock in a preseason game as it is an entirely different environment, but growth from game to game is always a nice development. With a majority of the preseason left to play, it will be on head coach Doc Rivers to make sure he puts Lee in spots where he will be most comfortable.
Bryant said he tweaked his shoulder while dunking on Antawn Jamison in practice Tuesday, but it didn't start hurting until later that day. He wanted to play against Portland, but the team overruled him with six preseason games still left on its schedule.
Drummond entered the game for Greg Monroe with 2:50 left in the first quarter and quickly played to his strengths.
"My teammates saw that, but they talked to me before the game," Drummond said. "They said, just play the game, do the things you need to do, help us on the defensive end and things will start coming to you.
A solid 1-for-1 in snack redemption at US Airways Center without Nash, the Suns – whose fans convert ticket stubs from any 99-points-plus outing into fast food – had moments of clarity and confusion while unveiling some of their altered attack at home.
"You just have to read how the defense plays it," Dragic said. "If they (defense) block the top side (on the corner screen), you just go back door."
Shannon Brown, who finished with 12 points, eventually figured out that instead of a steady diet of accepting a ball screen from the high post, giving up the ball and starting on off-ball, two-man game can make things trickier for the defense.hgret34
