David Lee is an NBA starter at PF. He’s very good every time I watch the Knicks play. I had some doubts about him as a starter and worried that a team could overpay for him but he’s definitely a good player. An he’s playing at an All-Star level easily. And he could be even more effective at PF, which is kinda scary.

Gallinari is going to be a big-time scorer. He’s going to be mentioned as an elite scorer in the future. He can shoot, slash, and he has the size to be a post up threat.

Ron Artest has struggled on D, but he has made his jumpers.

Jordan Farmar would be a decent PG for another team, or maybe the Lakers. They need to bench Fisher. Shannon Brown is the best fit for the triangle of all 3 guards though. I maintain that.

Godd to see Kobe getting everyone involved

nope still wont be the one they build around if lebron doesnt come. they are gonna build around who ever they give that max money to. its not “lebron but if we cant get him then gallo is our leader” its lebron then option b,c,d.e.f. and so on. gallo will be there number that htye build around though..maybe 3 but more likely 2

Jordan Hill showing up big early, get hustle, soft touch, a little “late” when it comes to the speed of the game, but for the first time he’s showing all the tools that made Hill such a high draft pick. He may become a decent post defender yet. Like to see the young guys play well.

is this really suprising. the lakers always gets the other teams best. they always ome hyped to play the lakers. if only the damn lakers can bring that same intensity as the other teams bring to them. untill they do that we will continue to take a couple of loses that we should have won. in a way im glad though because the games will stay interesting instead of a blow out early

The Lakers seem like they’ll win. They are playing just as good as the Knicks, but with about 1/4 less energy…When they play harder in the 3rd and 4th they should pull away

both teams are hitting shots and making mistakes on defense. I think Kobe needs to just keep doing the team thing and finding the open man again in the second half. If the lakers lcok down on defense a little more, they should be okay. Man the Knicks could be so much better if they had a pg.

one thing that bothers me about the lakers is how bynum will get hot and then they will stop going to him for no reason. kone will start shooting(which i dont mind as long as he is hitting it) odom will star going one on 5. fisher will start tryna play like hes 20. and gasol just wont get the passes. kobes my man and i wouldnt complain if he was hitting the shots but he needs to take a page from lebron and get his team involved more. the game could be so much easier if he looks for his teammates more when hes shooting like he is. hes gonna draw 2 defenders and the other 3 guys will be paying attention to him. all he has to do is make is move like hes gonna shoot and then find the open man. or play on the same side as bynum, give it to him down low, and let him score, get fouled or kick it back out or pass it to the other side of the floor to a open man. its clear hes not gonna sit and let the finger heal so as a laker fan i just have to deal with it but he can take some of the strain off of it by letting his teammates help him more

kobe has 5 assist at halftime how isnt he getting his team involved. galinari can score he just needs to stop shooting threes so much and david lee is an all star and he is a beast an he is so undrrated lakers need to keep feeding bynum down low he’s to much for the knicks.

yeah, kobe only forced a couple shots, he is looking for his teammates and has made passes out of the double team. The lakers are getting so many open looks from outside that they forget about going inside. but the knicks give up open looks because they want to get the lakers in an up and down scoring game.

Pau Gasol makes me mad…He plays too soft for my tastes at times. Then he makes a sweet move and makes you realize why he’s one of the best players in the game. He also makes Kobe visably mad lol

im talking about more then one game fellas. im just as big as a fan as the next guy but im also a basketball fan and i see how players arent getting involved when hes having his off nights. takeing 30shots to get 30 points. yeah he has 5 assist but he has a couple of shiots where he is going one on one where he should have got others involved.

did you just hear what they said about kobe the last 7 games?..30 percent…24 shots to get 28 points… dont be like those other fans that think there star player can do no wrong. thats what other fans do. be the type of fan that realize when something isnt right and should be changed. hes not gonna get out and let that finger rest and if he continues like this in the playoffs then youre gonna understand what im talking about and just like me youre gonna be a upset fan if a team ends up knocking us out. not sure about the rest of the laker fans but im looking at the big picture

quincey, he is playing passive. Tonight, that’s all we said. You are the only one talking about more then tonights game. And if his teammates bring it more often, then kobe wouldn’t need ot force it up.

im saying he’s not going dominate every night im a lakers fan first kobe fan second u want him to score 40 he’s not goin to that he has better teammates he dont need to that naymore to win so that’s not his game he ‘s been shooting bad lately but he playing with a broken finger on his shooting hand, back spasms, and he never got surgery on that pinky so he playing with alot of injuries and he still averaging 28.4ppg 4.5apg and 5.6rpg name another palying who can deliever like that with that much pressure he’s take alot of shot because pau hasnt been his usual self quincey are u a lakers fan or do u just like kobe?

yeah they should bring it more but at the same time its hard to bring it when you know you wont see the ball a couple of times when you are open. its on everyone not just the other guys. its on kobe, gasol, odom, bynum… each has a hand in why they lose games. each can do something different to help the team win. nobody, including bryant, is playing so great that they cant be criticized. thats all im saying. you know something is wrong when you say something critical about a guy and the explanation is what everone else isnt doing

    odom-go harder
    gasol-stop playing so soft
    bynum-go harder
bryant- make better shot decisions with that broken finger

we still will win a bunch of games but we will also lose games we should win especially come playoff time

i agree quincey. Kobe needs to be more passive and trust his teammates more. He’s battling through an injury and he is not superman. I never said otherwise, all my comments were about tonights game where he has been passive.

i know kobe aint shootin to well lately but he takes alot of shots because he has to odom aint scoring like he’s capable of gasol is just soft and scared to bang in the post bynum plays like the best center some nights and other nights he looks like a high school player derek fisher isnt palying just fine he’s not an elite point guard he’s just a role player and artest isnt 100% and hant been playing as advertised and so with them not doing what is expected all the pressure is to kobe so some nights he shoots alot and score alot and other nights he shoots alot and miss alot and he still has a broken finger and other nagging injuries quincey kobe’s only human every team has their struggles am i mad at my lakers yes but we still got alot of games left march is when im really going to panic if they are playing terrible

    laker weakness in my opinion:

Gasol needs to get the ball more but he also needs to play tougher.

Artest is shooting just fine and is not forcing anything, but he also is not quite the defender he once was and his offensive game beyond open 3’s is nothing special. Toof often he misses easy attempts down low.

Kobe needs to realize his jumper is off and focus on getting triple doubles and being a leader in other ways. I do give a ton of credit for playing through these injuries though.

Fisher needs to accept the fact he is past hs prime and only shoot when he is left wide open. Every now and then he forces plays like he is trying to prove somehting.

    Bench needs more minutes.

Odom needs to play with more passion and intensity(sounds familiar)

And then you have injuries. Excuses or not, pau missing 17 games and kobe banged up hurts big time.

In the end, they should pick it up and i’m not even tripping about any of these losses right now.

thats what im trying to see its still early there are alot more games left so us lakers fan shoulnt panic kobe played good last night but i thik he’s trying to shoot to much know he nneds to keep giving the ball to gasol. why didnt gasol play like this last night?

alot of shots he doesnt have to take. lets be real. he can create shots for others more and he has 2 people on him alot of times. we’ve seen games were bryant has had damn near a triple double. its not because everyone just happens to hit there shots its because he looks to pass more and get people involved. now we know why hes not hitting these shots and i have no problem with him shooting them when hes making them. my thing is look to pass more if you are shooting 30percent. become more of a decoy. sacrafice more scoring to get youre teammates involved. you cant tell me the cavs starting 5 is better then the lakers. if lebron can get 7-10 ast with that team then i know kobe can get those same numbers with the players he has. hell he doesnt have to give it to them while they are on the wing. he can do the lebron thing and make his move then pss it to a wide open player under the basket. other players cant do much if they arent touching the ball much… even the announcers mentioned how kobe is taking 24 attempts a night. he’s never taken more then 20 in a season. and you cant tell me its beause gasol bynum anf odom isnt stepping up every game. im not saying pass it everytime but some of these shots he take are obviously bad shots right now since he doesnt have his shooting touch

trust me im not pnicking. im just stating the obvious.even though im a laker fan that doesnt mean im not gonna point out flaws in my favorite team or players. this doesnt bother me too much for the regular season but it does bother me when i think playoffsand i know kobe isnt gonna sit out so his finger isnt gonna get better. im thinking about championship against the celtics or cavs(really more towards the celtics)

vangundy ” this is the first time all night that they have went 5,6,7 times down low and they got great things out of it”…we already know what we an get out of kobe at any minute so why not get the other players off and get there confidence up. big men work alot harder when you feed them alot. and we know kobes confidene is always gonna be high and hes gonna always know he can score. after awhile teams will have to play more honest d, start doubling gasol/bynum , giving kobe a easier open shot which works much better for him with his finger and shooting slump

I know the Knicks are playing well but with a PG like Chris Duhon? I think it’s clear they have a very very small chance of getting over .500… Just look at his stats tonight… 1-9 from the field? 2 points? Eww..

David Lee’s a monster biatch… 31 and 17 against a good team… That’s pretty impressive but still, doesn’t mean a thing when you lose… Kobe has been doing well but 8/24 ain’t gonna cut it… Yes, he reached 25,000 against the Cavs but he went 12/31… What happened Kobe?

The Knicks have always played up or down to their competition. They rise to the occasion against good teams but take the night off against teams they should beat. The Knicks core 3 went for 79 points.Jordan Hill was a pleasant surprise with 8 points and 7 boards in only 10+ mins. If they could get a star and a decent PG(Hinrich), they could be a scary team. Hate to point out the impossible but this team is built perfectly for John Wall. Someone should brainwash Wall to stay at Kentucky for another season and let the Knicks hold off on spending besides re-signing Lee. haha. I can dream.
