Lakers trade to reload the team...

Chad Ford said the the 2nd pick is up for sale and that T Wolves are looking to get a vet to help the young team.

Ford said the Lakers want the second pick. Ford said maybe Pau?

I've always said this off season that if the Lkaers trade in should be for young players... A 3 for 1 deal.

What about a...

Pau Gasol to the T Wolves

for

2nd overall pick, 20th pick, Michael Beasley, Johnny Flynn

I think you're overevaluating

I think you're overevaluating Pau Gasol. Beasley is a potential 24ppg scorer and a 2nd pick could very well be DWill or KIrving, two guys that, if groomed well, could be borderline All-Stars. As well as a decent pick that the Lakers could use on a project player overseas. Not to mention, Flynn is a young servicable PG.

In my opinion, the Wolves would be giving away too much, then again, it is Kahn..

the nuggets didnt even get

the nuggets didnt even get close to that for carmelo.... you view pau gasol as a franchise player, which he isnt. This trade is far fetched know way is minny giving up that many assets for a big man who will be past his prime in 3 years.

As a Laker fan i would do it

As a Laker fan i would do it but I agree lakers need to add more. Maybe future first Ebanks and lakers will even be nice enough to include Luke Walton to help minny with the triangle.

Nope

First, the salary amounts do not work - LA has to take back Gasol's salary (or within 125% of it) in a trade, since they're over the cap.

Second, it's horribly unequal value - Beasley is a high volume scorer on a bad team, and his value isn't anywhere near enough for a player of Gasol's caliber. Love for Gasol would be a better deal, but the salaries again do not match.

As a laker fan i would take

As a laker fan i would take the trade...i would hate to give up Pau....but for Beasley who can give you 20 and 8 Rbs...Johnny Flynn who still young and has a chance to be good. and with the 2nd pick(D Will, Ky Irving, or Jan Vesley) We need to get young and this will be a good start...but its hard to belive the Wolves would give that much for Gasol.

I like the trade for the

I like the trade for the Lakers, I really like it. Bynum at the 5, and If Enes Kanter can play the 4, than the Lakers should take him. They could insert Odom into the starting lineup at the 3, and if Flynn can regain his rookie season form, than he sould start over D Fish. And of course That is a nice lineup if Danter lives up to the hype. Then you have Beasley, and Artest off teh bench, as well as D Fish, Shannon Brown, Barnes (if he comes back) and Blake. To me that team is rejuvinated and back in contention for a tittle.

HAHAHAHA! Is this a joke?

How about the Wolves include Wes Johnson, Kevin Love, Anthony Randolph, and 2 future first round picks, as well. It is the super franchise Pau Gasol we are talking about.

yeah Sota gets hosed in that deal...

One Deal I can see between the two would be Flynn for Artest...Flynn is the young Pg LA could likely get(although he didn't fit in the triangle in Minnesota, don't know if he fits in LA) Artest is a veteran Guy that could toughen up Rubio, Love, Randolph and Beasley(or completely throw them all over the deep end)...that's the only deal I see going down between the two...maybe Flynn and Johnson plus the 20th pick for Pau or Bynum if The Lakers really want to get young at Pg, Sf and Pf(Faried with the 20th pick maybe)...

Seriously, we all know Kahn

Seriously, we all know Kahn is dumb but can't be that dumb, unless he thinks Gasol would be a Spanish connection for Rubio and help him in the adjustment to the league.

If Kyrie is there for the 2nd pick "Yes", if not then "No"

If Kyrie is there for the 2nd pick "Yes", if not then "No"

Looking at the Lakers and their situation vs what the Timberwolves need I really don't like the ideal of it; But if I was the GM......... (not totally sure if the trade would be approved). I would Trade: Shannon Brown, Bynum, Barnes, Blake, Joe Smith, Luke Walton and Ron Artest

So I would package: S. Brown, Bynum and Joe Smith for the Timberwolves 1st round pick, Flynn (because Rubio will be there), Nikola Pekovic and Beasly(only if I had to, to make the trade work). Then I would select Kyrie in the draft, keep Nicola Pekovic and package Beasly and Flynn for another trade(?)

Lakers starting 5 looks like, PG-Kyrie, SG-Kobe, SF-Artest, PF-Pau, C-Pekovic (depending on what they can get for Flynn and Beasly trade)

TWolves Starting 5 Looks Like, PG-Rubio, SG-Shannon Brown, SF-K.Love, PF-Anthony R., C-Bynum

My main focus as Laker GM is to get rid of Bynum only for Kyrie, yeah I now it may sound crazy but I think It would do wonders for the Lakers now and after Koby retires b/c you will have your present and future franchise PG in Kyrie. My issue with Bynum is that he stays hurt a lot and his bad attitude...he has the tool to be really good but I don't think he will ever make it their by the time he figures it out!

Of course Laker fans would

Of course Laker fans would love that trade, they saw how soft Gasol really is. No way Minnesota trade away all that talent for a soft Euro PF.
