Tony_McCarrolllParticipantWell they are old and slow.
But remember, Steve Nash and Dwight Howard will carry them to the promised land.

KayjayParticipantLakers were old and slow last year, didn’t stop them from reaching the playoffs. The real problem they should be addressing is their offensive output when 3 or more of their starting five leave the floor.

TallmanNYCParticipantGood thing they are adding a 26-year old center who is the most athletic player in the game at his position. That should help.
The Lakers barely try in the regular season, they aren’t going to try in the preseason.

TRC1991ParticipantKobe tries every game… he needs to get the rest of the guys on board

river09ParticipantYou could say the same thing about the Mavs team a couple years back… Or the Spurs every year.. If the Lakers can consistently use their experience to their advantage, they will be just fine.

LipstickParticipantWhen your screen name has Heat in it and you needle at the Lakers, it really doesn’t sound biased at all…no way!

llperezlakers are old and slow. But not only are they missing dwight, they are also missing maybe their best bench guy right now in jordan hill. He was a double double machine in the playoffs and hit for 10 points in his lone preseason game so far. He and dwight will bring youth to the paint and make them more lively.
But Since you want to make the claim "its gonna be a long year", go ahead and take a stand and tell us exactly what you mean by that. About how many games do you see the lakers winning because long year to me implies struggling to make the playoffs.
