Watching a highly UNcompetitive Suns @ Kings game right now. Chriss has gaurded Skal a few times and vice versa. They seem to want Len on Skal though as WCS isnt strong enough to beat up Chriss down low. Announcers are really bashing Chriss shot here but it is the Kings announcer and he missed one by a foot off glass. Woyld like to see Papa G play with Skal so Chriss is forced to gaurd Skal.

Who do you guys like more and think has a brighter future. Ill go with Labissiere.

Labissiere scored his career high 32 against Chriss and the Suns in March. Oh yeah the whole point of this thread is Vlade Divac who Ive been defending since he drafted Papa G traded Chriss to the Suns for Papagiannis, Bogdanovic and Labissiere. Steal?

Both are going to be good but I feel like Labissiere is going to have more opportunities than Chriss since Chriss also has Bender to compete with so I say Skal has the better future. If I’m going to include Maker in the mix, then Maker would have a brighter future than both men.

I feel like both can be equally as good starting pfs.

chriss is younger, and it seems he loves the game more than skal. I can see him develop much more faster.

Skal has played some great (and passionate) ball since the Cousins trade. He showed some very rapid improvement the 2nd half of the season. They are both going to be very solid going forward

How are you measuring how much they each "love the game"?

easy answer is it is just an eye test.

If i have to make myself clear,  look at how much they improved and how they were in the college level. The fact that cousins trade effects skal this much is an insight of his character. In Kentucky also same. Why couldnt he thrive with Cousins playing C or he was in Kentucky? That is not a talent or a skill issue, i dont think he put much on his game. That is a mental issue.  On the other hand chriss is always smiling, flying and trying and you can feel he will improve and mature over time.

Maybe because the entire offense was based around Cousins and he occupied the spaces Skal is most effective. They also played slower when his speed is an asset. Now that he’s next to WCS who moves well and runs hard in the open court like him and the extra floor spacing of Hield and more 2 PG lineups, he’s able to contribute more.

Chriss has had a good run as the Suns starting PF this year and as I long distance Suns fan I’ll always route for him. Skal seems more of a finesse player IMO. Both guys will have to battle for minutes next year, if Phoenix bring Len back and get Chandler out of hibernation then they will also want to give Bender some serious minutes as this year was always a learning curve.

It will be interesting to see what sort of salary Len is after and what if any offer Phoenix make to him. Chandler is 35 this year and has two years left on his deal, apparently he is happy in Phoenix, he has his title, he can be a great mentor. But I still somehow feel he deserves to be on a contender and a trade might be useful for both sides.

The Kings after the DMC trade – didn’t capitulate completely and go into “Hinkie” mode – Hield, Skal and Papa G all put up useful contributions and began to develop. If they get the two top 10 picks this year in a deep draft, they can add a couple of nice pieces.
