After reading the post about Kyrie being overrated a question came to mind.. Why are Love’s stats considered inflated on a bad team but Kyrie’s are not? Kyrie has not won anything either.. I think he is overrated. Not a max player personally and the people saying he would play better with lebron I’m not sold on either.. He wouldn’t have the ball in his hands near as much. Lebron would be best served to have an elite shooting PG next to him.

    What does everyone think?

Well for one I’ve seen alot of people say that Kyrie puts up empty numbers on a bad team, Kyrie has been critised  just as much as Love.

As far as how he would fit with Lebron, i think he’d be a great fit with Lebron. Hes not Stephon Curry but hes a pretty decent outside shooter. Remember Lebron turned Mo Williams into an all-star and Kyrie has a similar but far better skill set.

I don’t understand why people are acting like Kyrie’s not one of the best shooting PG’s in the league? His numbers were down a little this year, but he still shot around 40% from 3 his first two years in the league. How many top PG’s can you say that about? Steph, Lillard, and CP3 are the only top PG’s I’d say are for sure better shooters than Kyrie. As far as winning goes he’s only 22, you have to give him some more time. At this time last year you could say that John Wall hadn’t won at all either and look at him now. Some of these players are so good at a young age you forget how young they really are. Don’t get me wrong he has his deficiencies and I’ve had my questions about him too, but I think some of the criticism is unfair. He’s still soooo young.

Is a top 5 point guard and he just getting started. If he can stay healthy and they put better talent around him he can probably be a top 3 point guard. He can get his numbers whenever he wants he just now needs to be a leader and have that Chris Paul or Rondo mindset like f*** it I’m the best and I know it.

I don’t think Kyrie is overrated.  He had better than a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio, and averaged 21 ppg.  He’s a top 6-7 PG in the league and still improving.

I’m not going to neg you for questioning Kyrie. I too do not think he’s a max contract player, but then again I am old school and think only the truly elite deserves a max contract, ie LeBron and to an extent Durant.

As far as playing with LeBron, Kyrie I think would be a great fit. Kyrie, being a pg, plays with the ball of course, but he does have the shooting ability to play off the ball. The reason why it hasn’t worked out with Waiters, is Waiters isn’t making Kyrie a threat when he’s off the ball since both attack from the perimeter. LeBron, operating from the elbow or the post, can draw attention then kick it out to Kyrie when needed. LeBron also has never played with a play making pg, who can make him himself better. I think those two will be a perfect match.
