I'm not sure if this link posted correctly but this is footage from the US Olympic bball practice and Kyrie Irving's ballhandling skills are unreal
I've been preaching this for a while it seems. Did you see the Olympic team trying to guard Kyrie upcourt and he just went through them all as if it was nothing? Kids a legend in the making. Hypothetically if CP3's hand got a more serious injury I honestly would've liked Kyrie to step in to replace him, he would dominate the olympics imo.
jamal crawford has nasty handles to.... but its hard to say who has the best handles in the game.....
to say who has the best handles in the League. Kid is ridiculous, someelse posted a link of him plaing some games this summer and he was doing moves while in full stride. I have never seen a guy do moves full speed ahead, maybe Rafer but his were slow motion.
His handle was the aim reason I was reallly high on him. He has one of the best go to moves in the game - crossover to spin and has the ability to turn it into a floater or spin it off the backboard. Unreal.
May not be his pressiest move but to ankle break shumpert is amazing.
Sidenote - the finish is even better IMO.
In other news, Blake Griffin's athleticism is something that is truly amazing. I've watched him for 2 seasons, and I'm still amazed at what he can do. I hope he stays away from injuries during his career, he is a very exciting player to watch.
damn yo... he just cooked the whole TEAM USA roster
Incredibly happy to say he's a Cleveland Cavalier! Not only is his game special, he's just an all around great kid.
He definitely has the sickest spin move I've ever seen.
It truly makes you wonder even more why they drafted Waiters, why in the world would you ever want the ball out of Kyrie's hands but that undoubtedly will happen because Waiters needs the ball in his hands to create things and Kyrie is a good enough shooter to play off ball. I would have loved to see Kyrie with Drummond or Robinson throwing lobs. Then at 17 they could have taken Royce White who could play point forward giving Kyrie a rest at times but not needing to handle the ball.
That's what I'm saying. Could've walked out of that draft with Drummond, Perry Jones, and Will Barton..instead they have Waiters and the next Jim Mcilvaine
Because they tried that before with Lebron and look how it turned out... Speaking realistically what you're saying is you want Kyrie to be ball dominate the entire game. I understand but what if he has a bad game or gets injured? The rest of our players would suffer because of it. Having Waiters gives us the ability to have someone else who Kyrie can give the ball to and he can create for himself. Kyrie can be on the bench and Waiters could control the game giving Kyrie rest and another leader on the team. It really helps having another player who can put the team on his back by himself when one player is having a bad game. Look at OKC, Heat, and Boston one thing they all have in common is they have different go to guys on a nightly basis, that's what the Cavs want instead of it all being about one guy. I really think Waiters is going to pan out, a lot of people were just shocked and haven't seen him play. Give him a chance.
Man if John Wall doesn't pan out like I hoped he would, Kyrie might be my next favorite PG lol. No reason in the world to not like him
What else can you do but smile. It's just amazing not only his ball handling skills but the creativity Irving has to get buckets.
Uncle Drew part 2 is in the works btw!!
Kyrie has a great handle but I've always viewed Tony Parker as having the best handles in the league, isn't as flashy as a lot of players but just seems like he moves quicker and faster when he has the ball and gets wherever he wants to..
I'd have to give the best handles in the league distinction to Tyreke Evans. Too bad he doesn't have a consistent jumper to go along with it! That footage of Kyrie was pretty damn impressive, but Tyreke's got some highlight reel material of his own.
For more info see:
Ill say Tyreke when you show me a video of him doing at least half that stuff in the NBA
Nah, Tyreke evans still got that title.
I been saying he is the next CP3 with more height and length. I also said a few times, I would take him over John Wall all day.
Irving is better right now, but John Wall has more potential. If wall doesn't so much improvemnt next couple of seasons then Irving will probably end up being better. As of right now I'll take Wall.
Wall is a better passer and has more defensive potential, although Irving is a better shooter and has a tighter handle. I'm not sure if it's my bias talking, but I'd take Wall over Irving. Just too much upside to pass on IMO.
Let's see if John Wall improves his jumpshot and handles at all this upcoming season. If he doesn't he will end up being a Tyreke Evans with elite athletic ability.
Tyeke does have unreal handles. However I don't beleive he is a great passer, more of a iso player.
is his size to me. I seen plenty of lil guys with tight handles . Reke, hes 6ft 6 just looks so smoooth with it
lets hope hes home working on that J. Or Sac are working on a trade
WTF?! It looked like he intentionally dribbled off the inside of his knee at :27....
Yeah, I caught that. Not sure it was intentional, but it looked like it could have been. Sick.
I remember his high school coach saying he was the best point guard to come out of Jersey, I thought he was just sucking up, but Kyrie is starting to make me a believer
^ At St. Pats or MKA?
