gregellis39ParticipantKYRIE IRVING REALLY TURNED OUT THE JORDAN CLASSIC I DIDN’T THINK HE WAS REALLY THE BEST POINT GUARD IN THIS CLASS BUT HE REALLY PROVED 2 ME THAT HE WAS HANDS DOWN BETTER THAN ANY GUARD IN COUNTRY. HE WAS MAKING INCREDIBLE PLAYS WITH THE BALL HE SCORED 13 POINTS IN THE LAST 3 MINUTES OF THE GAME.HE ENDED THE GAME WITH 22 POINTS AND 7 ASSISTS.WHICH LEAVES ME TO THIS QUESTION IS KYRIE REALLY A ONE AND DONE PLAYER? AND WHO DO YOU COMPARE HIS GAME TO?

gregoden08ParticipantNot sure if he is HANDS DOWN the best pg in this class. Selby is just as dynamic and Knight is a terrific scorer. I think he is a one and done talent, but im not sure if he will leave after his freshmen year.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantKyrie said that he models his game after Chris Paul, and I definitely see some of it in him. He isn’t quite the genius that CP3 is when it comes to decision making, but then again he hasn’t even played a game in college yet. He has plenty of time to develop his game. As far as his skills, the only thing I really don’t like about his game is his jumpshot. It’s slow and he shoots from in front of his face. Speaking from first-hand experience, it’s easily fixable, so it shouldn’t be a problem in the future if he works hard to correct it.
I hate to flame, but what’s with the caps?

JNixonParticipantHe is similar to CP3 IMO too. He reminds me of Jay Williams more than Chris Paul though, because he’s not quite as flashy a ball-handler and passer as Paul is. I think he can be a high level scorer and passer though, similar to both Chris Paul and Jay Williams though. It wouldn’t surprise me if he stayed in college for 2 seasons though, even though he’s a 1 and done type talent.

wesleymatthews23ParticipantDon’t put all your stuff in Caps. Makes you look superficial. Any ways. Kyrie was very good in the Jordan Classic, and I think he is the best point guard in the class. Kyrie is really the only true point in the 2011 draft. (have not heard much about Cory Joseph, never seen him play, and he still has not decided where to go yet, and that is just HS) And Selby is not even on the 2011 draft board, how that happened I have no idea. He certainly looks like a one and done to me. (although I’m not quite sure how he is going to gell in Kansas and make the team better.) Irving is the truest point in 2011 and he should be one and done, because Duke looks like they will go all the way next year with or with out Singler and win the championship once again.

the I in winParticipantI think he and knight will be considered the best freshmen PG’s but i do like selby a lot, has a lot of flash to his game.
Irving could come out after one year but like gregoden08 said i think he will stay at least an extra year.

UKballer32ParticipantKyrie Irving will be successful at Duke.
I also believe he will start simply because he’s the only pure point guard on the roster. I expect him to have a similar impact John Wall did for Duke.
I expect Irving and Mason Plumlee to go in the lottey next season because Irving will run Duke successfully and Plumlee will be benefiting from Irving.
