The cavs are in a real bind where they can’t sell their assets for the future because of Lebron. They may never have another chance in the near future to get to the finals without Lebron. The cavs have a few trade assets mainly K love and Kyrie who they should be able to get talent for.

K.Love isn’t what he used to be but let’s all be real Love still has value. Love can pass Shoot and Rebound his defense is shaky and his salary is high but his pros outway his cons. He has a ring and hes willing to sacrifice to win. The exact player Pop loves. They should swap love for Aldridge. Both could use a new scenario and love would be a better fit next to kawahi and Aldridge would be better next to Lebron.

Next Kyrie who has the most value of the two. You got your player to help compete now in Aldridge and they just signed rose so you don’t need a pg in the return. The cavs are in such an interesting situation because Kyrie is very valueable and under contract for so long. That being said I flip Kyrie to the grizzlies along with Tristan Thompson for Conley and Gasol. It’s a major hall for Cleveland and it gives them a very potent starting lineup. Conley JR or rose Lebron Aldridge and Gasol would be a intimidating line up. The warriors would have a lot of trouble with all that size. It would let u compete when lebrons gone because you’d have Conley Aldridge and Gasol for another 2 years togeather.

I like it but Aldridge has also looked pretty shaky with the Spurs too. He’s a good rebounder, and he can shoot, but his defense isn’t great either. The only reason the Spurs go as far as they do defensively is because of Kawhi. To me Aldridge and Love are the same player. Love is just younger. Would the Grizzlies accept?Yes, they get Kyrie but they give up their best Center and have no one behind him who can compensate.

Aldridge is a terrible defender on the perimeter, but a really good defender in the paint.

The problem is that the Warriors and Rockets both expose the shit out of players who can’t defend on the perimeter.  But in the regular season and against the 27 other teams, Aldridge is not the least bit shaky.

The Cavs would lose the majority of their perimeter shooting with that. They’d also get slower which would affect LeBron’s prefered up-tempo pace
