I don’t know a lot of people know this but Porzingis still has a contract with Seville (now old club) Which means someone wll have to pay it out. Nba team only can buyout 1.5mil of the contract everything else will have to payed by him. So everyone who thinks he will grab the money and run. He won’t have a lot of money.

    Ooo…. as well

Recently about 1 month ago he was on national sports show in Latvia (i am Latvian) He said that he wants to play in Orlando and if not in Orlando then would prefer East conference, because of easier games. Before of course he knew he cna get drafted #4 or even #3 in the draft but i think he will not slip lower then #5 i am 100% sure about it.

    Sorry for bad english 🙁

Thoughs on the contract? And did you actually think he can go lower then #5 in the draft?

What is his current contract? I see no way he slips out of the top 5.

According to Rotoworld (via Orlando Sentinel via DraftExpress) under 1.5 million…

"I will be available, for sure. From my side, there’s no problem," Porzingis said. His agency declined to provide that information, but DraftExpress recently reported that the figure is about $966,190 after conversion from Euros, but that number can be negotiated down. Per the CBA, NBA teams can contribute up to $625,000 toward a player’s buyout for the 2015-16 season without it counting against the NBA team’s salary, but any contribution north of that would come out of the player’s after-tax salary.

do you know how he would respond to staying in seville for another year? i know he was an early entry for 2014 draft but pulled out when he realized he would go around the 15-20 range and then be playing in seville anyways for atleast a year to bulk up and improve, so he decided to put the work in himself and have a good chance to move up into early lottery this year, which he’s done. i was deadset against orlando drafting him at first (i mean… we drafted Fran. never again), but now im liking the idea of taking him and stashing for a year. give ourselves a better shot at grabbing ben simmons, skal labassiere, jaylen brown, dragan bender…someone top 5 in 2016. where-as, my original (safe) pick of justise winslow would probably pull us out of the bottom 5 in the league finally. I just worry on his reaction, his camp and around the league seem to think he’s getting bought out and coming over right away.

I dont understand what you said, man,

1, stashing player is a better way to tank? so funny! let him play, then u will be at the bottom, then you will get top pick in 2016.

2, justise winslow be the guy?LoL. maybe you should select gaysan Allen together with him, allen can Drive to the rim, when winslow can not do it.

Hmmmm…. well, i understand your view, and agree that Porzingis is going to have a tough time in his first season, especially with strength against nba power forwards. But personally i think he might give them a better chance of winning a couple more games than if they have channing frye tossing bricks again. Like i said, Winslow would give them the most boost to thier roster for next season tho. Wherever the Zinger ends up he’s going to have a lot of work to do before he possibly starts playing like Dirk. I think Winslow has less chance of being an all-star, but will contribute and has a better chance of being a starter from the get-go. And he definitely has a better chance at both than does Grayson Allen. Oh, and really? Making gay jokes on an internet forum? Recess is over, head back inside.

Off topic but I’m curious what your user name means. Is that a date or something?

Umm, I’m reading it as Sept 13, 2011. To me it’s an odd date to pick for a user name. On that day Taliban terrorists attacked the U.S. embassy and two other government buildings in Afghanistan. It was pretty big news. Strange coincidence?
