What are your thoughts on Providence point guard Kris Dunn? He’s had a series of unfortunate injuries to start his collegiate career, but this is a former McDonald’s All-American who is playing like it now that he is healthy.

Jeff Goodman of ESPN reportedly said that an anonymous Big East coach said that Dunn is the best NBA prospect and most important player in the Big East.

He’s recently come off a 20/10/8 game, is leading the NCAA in assists, not to mention is a terrific athlete.

I think he is one to watch as the draft approaches. No mock drafts really have him too high on their radars understandably, but he is a talent.

I think your right. Its very rare you get a player with his physical and athletic skills that can shoot and pass. Normally players with his combination of potential get drafted on pure upside. He is producing as well. It should be interesting to watch his stock rise.

I was fortunate to watch my kids play on the same AAU team for a short time a couple of summers ago. He was a rising junior on a team that was loaded with talented rising seniors, and there were times when he was the best player, by far, on the court. He’s a great kid from a great family too. He could have gone almost anywhere, but stayed home.

If he stays healthy, which is his only weakness, he will be a high lottery pick with an ideal NBA combo of character, athleticism and skill set.
