For a while when the Rockets signed this guy I immediately thought they were overpaying for someone who has never even played in the States but damn did he have a nice preseason! He is crafty as hell, and reminds me a bit of Diaw in that regard. He’s got a nice handle, a nice shot and most of all, a veterean’s feel for the game. Couple that with the fact that he plays with a certain swagger and confidence that at first glance you don’t he is a rookie.

His attacks to the rim are controlled and effective. He does not force shots but he’s also not shy on taking it to the rim. He’s also more athletic than what he had shown in the preseason from what I see in some of his highlights from Europe. The Rockets have an underrated piece in their roster and he is going to back Ariza up nicely.

This guy also 6’9 by the way. I can see a bright future in the NBA for the kid. Here’s a video of his highlights.

I first saw him playing ages ago, I think it was in the European U19 or U17 and man, he did impressed me! He always the did the right play, knocked down his shot. Glad to see he made his way to NBA

Everyone negged me a few months ago when I said that a combination of Kostas and Ariza might more than make up for Parsons’ departure. I think that people were massively underrating this guy and his abilities. I think that he and Bojan Bogdanovic will have a nice season; Damjan Rudez, not so much and that’s coming from someone with Croatian heritage. He’s way too hot and cold with his shot (which is mostly the only thing he has to offer).
