I don’t hate lebron. I just think it’s funny that the golden boy of the NBA airballed a free throw. If Kobe had done this, man it would be all over espn, but they wouldn’t do that to Lebron. That’s just mean.

Maybe he was drunk? I don’t know how to explain it. He’s a poor free throw shooter regardless, but so am I in the same aspect.

Don’t throw him in with us in Chicago please. Bolivia can have him. Or Barney, if he hasn’t had him already.

Its funny how the OP says he is not a lebron hater when he is clearly hating on Lebron.

dwat4444,its obvious you are a kobe fan. Why try to pretend you are not bias.

If you want to see kobe getting away with airballs, he’s been doing since he was a teenager in the league.

Here is kobe shooting 3 airballs in a row in his younger days. Choked away the playoff game and the series.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3zub7JDHi8
Here is a very recent airball so bad that it went behind the backboard when he shot it from the side. This was against the Rockets in the 2nd round. Yes, even pros will airball a 3 from time to time. But behind the damn backboard when he is open and is shooting it in rhythm? What was he aiming at… the shot clock? Probably haven’t seen this happen for the last 10 yrs. Its more rare than airball free throws. As you can see, even kobe felt so embarassed in his own reaction.

This is just to show you that kobe gets away with way more than anyone else. ESPN didn’t even show this shot in the highlights after that game. Don’t hate Lebron just because he is a better player at 24 yrs old than kobe in his prime.

Ok first of all im a straight up Kobe fan and am proud of it. Lebron is a great player and let’s get real. He is not on kobe’s leverl yet. Kobe shoots airballs from the 3pont line or on game winnersw inthe playoffs as an 18 yr old kid. That shows confidence/swagger/and balls. If memory serves me correctly Lebron up until the past 2 sesons was always afraid of the last shot choosing instead to pass to guys like Damon Jones. Lebron is a poor post player can’t shoot a set shot or come off of screens. Isn’t really all that good at consistently sttign up his bigman. And don;t even give me that crap about ESPN lettign kobe get away with ,more, since Kobe has been more scrutinized than any player in sports history. How about the fact that Lebronze always looks good untikl he runs into a good defensive team. Cuz he’s not as good as his numbers say. ESPN is the most Lebron happy bunch of nut huggers i’ve ever seen in my life. But i will say that Lebron is the best one on one player ever simply because he’ll run your ass over if you don’t move. But Kobe is the most skilled player ever. Top5 of all time. This convrsation is about like saying Kobe is better than Jordan. Let th wins and titles speak for themeselves. And the cause for them not showing the airballs in the highlights by Kobe is simply tha They’rehighlights, nt lowlights lol. And actually Lebronze has airballed the freetrow a couple times. Only other guys ive seen do that are Ben Wallace and Kwam Brown. How about all of Lebronze’ chokin freethrows against the Magic in the biggest series of his career. Difference between Kobe choking on a shot at 18 yrs old and airballin a few shots are untimely momentsa like these.

That hit front rim, watch the video again it clearly did. Also most people have airballed at least 1 free throw in their career.

Kobe isn’t the greatest of all time last night just helped prove that even more. Don’t forget how he grabbed Courtney Lee’s jersey on the last play refs could’ve called that but they won’t because he’s Kobe & somehow the rules change in the last minute of a game.

Yes Kobe did grab his Jersey but homany times was he fouled throughout the gam that were clearly pushed away. Or how about the fact that Rashard Lewis fouled Kobe’s left hand as he raised up for his final sho tthat Hedo blocked. So don’t giveme none of that crap about he’s kobe he got away wth this and tht,b/c he’s the ONLY basketbll player to be able to drop as many points w/o freethrows as he does.Hell,.. for the most part, even when the boxscores say he got to the line a lot, it’s usually b/c the refs started calling touch fouls at the end ofa game. He rarely gets to the line compared to oter players. Hedo gets to elbow Trevor Ariza in theribs every time he drves left. Dwight howard sends more elboes throughout a game than any big man i’ve seen. And tht includes the Lakers-Sixers series when Shaq was beain the hell outta Dikembe.

“he got away with it cuz he’s Kobe.”-the most absurd statement ive ever ead. Players like Hedo,Maggete,Melo,Pierce,LEBRONZE, and Wade are all examples of players who get much more love than Kobe. For all the people who talk about Kobe not being on Jordan’s level, bu yet everyone of those sam people, old im to the same standards. Kobe doesn’t get certain calls just because he is Kobe. Wait 10 years from now when you’re sayin “damn. We really never really realized what we had with Kobe. We reallytook him for granted.” And no I’m not sayn Kobe is as good as Jordan, ut i think after this title you have to realize he’s up there and if he gets the same amount or more…then what? But keep hating Kobe and read this article….
