This is probably one of the funnier stories in the NBA right now but it also shows how the dunk contest has strayed afar from its glory days where superstars are pitted against superstars. Here's an excerpt from the article which also stipulates that they want LeBron to compete as well.
"The NBA and a &$#%#&@! site are not exactly what you’d call perfect marketing partners, but if the website Sex.com has its way, next year’s All-Star Game slam dunk contest will be a star-studded affair.
The site, which calls itself a “virtual pinboard for &$#%#&@!,” is putting up $5 million to the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant if he’ll take part in the contest. There’s just one condition: LeBron James of the Miami Heat must also agree to compete.
Now there’s a dunk contest we’d all like to see.
Magic Johnson already has offered $1 million to James if he enters the dunk contest, but so far James has declined. That’s $6 million to two players who would clearly bring back luster to the annual slam-dunk showdown"
