MagikKnickParticipantYour Late, lol
But I hope not, I dont see anything spectacular about Hobson, let alone to reach up and buy a pick for him…
If he slips down to our 2nd rounders, fine, but not for the first….don’t think hes worth it.0- Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 4:54pm #338088
knicks82ParticipantI wouldnt be thrilled to say the least if they decided to buy a 1st rounder to take Hobson. I mean if you go by this sites mock, he’ll still be there when they pick in the 2nd rd. I know that they are high on Craig Brackins, and if they bought a 1st rd pick it would be to get him or even Greivis Vasquez. The Knicks need pg, and pf or C in this draft, they have enough wing players.

Gallo-pingParticipantWould love to hear a rumor that involves the knicks and a draft prospect over 6’8.
But I do like Hobson, think he’s a great fit.

Charlie SheenParticipantMaybe some other team wants Hobson and New York wants a player from them they might package him but Depth at the wing position is key for D’Antoni’s system if all fairs well.
New York signs LeBron James and Chris Bosh
Drafts Hobson, Stephenson and Brackins
Buy Out CurryThey will then have a few holes
C-????/????
F- Bosh/Brackins/????(combo big)
F- Gallinari/Chandler/Hobson
G- James/Stephenson
G- ????/Douglas/3rd PGChandler would probally be traded for a true Center since they’d have the cap room if Curry gets bought out

I don’t know Iggy 9, I think Hobson could be a poor man’s Penny Hardaway. I think he could be a solid role player.

FreeJasonryParticipantI guess it would be fitting for the Knicks to trade up to get a player with hardly any upside. He’s like 24 so he’s a you see what you get type of player. How much better can Hobson get? For the Knicks he could be decent because of the skill set he showed at Mexico. Pts, Rebs, Ast… But that could probably snag him with one of those 2nd round picks.

llperezi dont see hobson as a first rounder. Not a good first step and doesnt blow by guys. He relies more on being a cerebral team player. That to me says bench guy who could fit in to a system similar to what luke walton does for the lakers. Actually i think hobson would be a good fit for the lakers if he was still there whne they pick. But would be surprised if the knicks moved up for him.

NYK2010ParticipantDon’t need Hobson unless he’s a true PG don’t chase him.
They need to go after Pg’s and big men who can rebound, defend and most importantly block shots.
Even if they land Bosh in free agency he’s not really a big time shot blocker.
Knicks have enough wing players off the bench as well Walker, Douglas, Chandler possible coming off too. The goal shouldn’t be to copy the Warriors and have the entire roster of SG/SFs.
Walsh needs to draft better he stunk it up last year passing on the PG’s and Douglas wasn’t a great find end of the draft.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/23/2010 - 3:28am #338347
knicksfreakParticipantThe rumor i heard was that they were looking to buy a first rounder to draft Armon Johnson. That came from espn insider.
