Is it just me or is there a feeling that the Knicks will be better than the Nets for the next couple of years.

I think the Amare signing was good, but they had to give up a lot to get him.

Amare is the only position where i think the Knicks have clear advantage.

    You just totally contradicted yourself.

I think next year the Knicks will be better. They actually seem pretty similar to me. My money is on neither of them making the playoffs…again.

I think it all depends on what the Knicks do this coming up offseason if they can sign Melo then they are going to be better for the next couple of years if not it all depends on how good Brook Lopez, T. Williams, D. Favors can become.

I think the future of the Nets comes down to Anthony Morrow. If Coach Johnson can tap into the potential he has and make him a better two-way player then they’ll have an edge over the Knicks in just a few years and Amare is slowing down and Favors is coming up. All they need is a long-term solution at the point, maybe they can trade for Rubio when Kahn realises he ain’t never playing in Minny.

The reset button on New York has finally been hit after two plus years of horrendous basketball. Now DiAntoni has to start earning his paycheck. Both teams have cap room, but Amare is the only true “star” on eithier team (sorry B. Lopez and D. Harris). A big question will be how quick can the new owner of New Jersey, Prokerov, get adjusted to the NBA and make the necessary connections around the league to stay in the loop w/ players/ coaches/ refs ect. He needs a lot of basketball savy people around him while he is learning about the American basketball market. Moving to Brooklyn could help the franchise from marketing/money standpoint. Maybe help lure some free agents in the distant distant future.

The Nets had one of the worst records in NBA history last season. Just about everyone will be better than the Nets except the Nets themselves.

I don’t get all the hate for the nets, they have a bunch of young talent, a good player at the two most important positions(C and PG), and have the cap space to bring in a star. I think it would be a good situation for Melo to sign at, or a good trading partner for NOH.

    PG…Harris or Felton…Harris
    Sg…Lee or Azuibuke or Rautins…Lee
Sf …Outlaw and TWill or Randolph ad Gallo…Nets win easily…Both T Will and Outlaw are better defenders and team mates then Gallo and AR
Pf…Amare or Favors…Amare win’s here but IF a major injury occurs this year or next…doesn’t a young Favors look a hell of lot better than a broke down Max contract…Ask the Sixers now if they want Brand or the Money they spent getting him to Philly…

C…And the Most over whelming…Brook or any bum the Knicks have to roll out day 1…Lopez all dam day…

NY tell me how the Knicks are better…

    Coach…Avery Johnson or Mikey D’Anfoney

    What about Wilson Chandler.

Also the Knicks have the edge on the Nets at SF I honestly don’t know how you can say the Nets win easily there.

The Nets basically bring back the same team that won 12 games last year and add Avery Johnson, an unproven rookie and Morrow While the Knicks added one of the top 25 players in the league in Stoudamire give me the Knicks baby
