Ryan.Cook2Participantare stupid. I have heard about 7 of them think the knicks are making the playoffs. They were worse than every team in the east last year other than the wizards. The wizards are clearly better now. The knicks did not improve at all. the only team that might be worse in the east is the nets. However at least the nets have 1 all star.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 9:50am #182653
bkballerParticipantwhy do you have to bash people because they have hope? You have hope your pacers make the playoffs noone calls you an idiot. Since when are the pacers a lock for a playoff spot? No knick fan guaranteed playoffs just a lot of us are just hoping for it and see some potential. Nothing wrong with believing in your team a little.

MagikKnickParticipantLOL
We have a chance simply because, were in the east
Last season te 8th seed won only 39 GAMES,….we won 32
Some team is going to get bugged by injuries, and miss the playoffs, happens every year, sometimes 2 or more teams..
The Bucks are the worst team in the east..
They lost Villanueva & Jefferson, and Michael Redd cant bring that team to the playoffs with only Ramon Sessions on that teamWe might not have the strongest chance, but we have a chance…

jojososaParticipantNy plays n tha east and all u have to do is win 37-45 games for tha 8th seed
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 9:55am #182661
bkballerParticipantThe guy they drafted in 2008 is going to have a monster year btw i love how people wrote him off because he got injured. Had you actually watched knick games you would have seen his potential and known that once he gets healthy he will warrant that selection.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 9:56am #182663
d-grizzlyParticipantryan thinks he knows it all. I’m not a knickfan, but i was apart of those 7 who said the knicks ( could ) make the playoffs. this kid has to change his tampon and man the-f**k up.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:01am #182670
sheltwon3ParticipantKnicks do have a chance because they should be more stable this year and they have more depth now. They should get Lee and Nate back on 1 year qualifiers and Darko may show why he was a second round pick. Honestly they are talented enough to do it but it comes down to chemistry and also How good the other teams in the East have gotten because the East is started to get stacked. Bulls and Wizards healthy will make it hard to get the last few spots. That being said if Knicks can get close and then add a star next season the will make it.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:10am #182678
sheltwon3ParticipantKnick fans sometimes get knocked because of that Lebron thing. A year can change things. The Clippers may actually have a rare good year this coming year but still not make the playoffs but then again they could because New Orleans one of my fav team(the other is the Lakers) may not make the playoffs.
In the East you haveCeltics
Orlando
Cleveland
Atlanta
Chicago
Washington
MiamiThese thing should make it in the playoff unless injuries pop up, there is one spot open
and a lot of teams want it. It will be a dog fight. Philly made it last year but will not have Andre Miller there because they want to go young so who knows with them. Detroit is a new team so you dont know what they will do. Bobcats are good but can not score well and they may lose Felton. New Jersey is very young but they have talent. New York is talented with a good coach but they are young and no one knows what team will show up. Raptors could be a lock to make it but hey they looked this good on paper last year and did not make it but this is a Bosh Contract year so we will see. Indiana is talented but are inconsistent they can beat the best and get beat by the worst.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:15am #182681

sheltwon3ParticipantD Hamp if you had about the same chance of winning the lottery as the Knicks have of making the playoff at worst case scenario I would want to be your best friend lol.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:21am #182694
Ryan.Cook2Participantall of your arguments are that other teams are getting worse or that they could get injured. no one can argue they have the talent to make it. the 8 teams that made it last year are better and so are the raptors, wizards, bobcats, and pacers.
sheltwon: darko was not a second round pick. should have been, but wasn’t.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:22am #182696
HaleParticipantThe Bucks are better then the Knicks. They have one borderline all star player and Jennings.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:25am #182702
gatorheelsParticipantThe Knicks are not going to the playoffs…. there are at least 10 teams in the East that are a lot better than the Knicks
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:29am #182708
Ryan.Cook2Participantgatorheels thank you. only crazy knicks fans think they have a chance.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:29am #182709
Knicksboy34ParticipantMr. Ryan Cook are you just a hater? Like I said before the Knicks dont have alot of talent because our front office killed us. With Donnie Walsh, we can make noise in the east.
We still have the MLE so that can be a Session, Miller etc.
We are adding Almond and Tim Thomas who can contribute.
Chandler and Gallo are getting more PT
Hill and Douglas provides depth
Mike Dantoni year 2.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:31am #182711
HaleParticipantLike I said earlier I don’t expect the knicks to make the playoffs but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Dantoni would be the reason for them making it though, because their roster is not is among the worst in the league hands down. That style of offense though makes everyone better.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:31am #182713
Knicksboy34ParticipantThank you…I said they have a shot of making it
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:32am #182716
bkballerParticipantI understand knicks suck i just want to see where ryan sees that his pacers improved and that they have a solid chance to make it. If im supposed to admit the Knicks have no chance then so should he about his team. They are equal, pacers have the best player but the knicks have more young talent.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:34am #182719
bkballerParticipantit just bothers me that people can say pacers have a chance and knicks can give up now, thats absurd.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:37am #182726
HaleParticipantPacers are better then the knicks IMO. At least they have a rising star in Granger.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:38am #182727
Ryan.Cook2Participanti will admit im a hater, but that is because im not stubborn, unlike knicks fans. the pacers are the 11th best team in the east. the 8 playoff teams, the wizards, and the raptors are better, but at least they have a small chance. all i am saying is eveyone thinks they have a chance, buy no one will give a good reason.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:39am #182728
bkballerParticipantGranger and nothing else they are one of the least deep teams in the nba, one guy cant do everything by himself. They have no young talent that might have a breakout season to take them to the playoffs either.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:41am #182732
d-grizzlyParticipantryan’s just a sad little kid who also has a team that won’t make it. so when he sees someone saying a team of equal opportunity be praised, he gets all emotional. when he gets emotional, he speaks as if what he said is dead true.
I’m a grizzlies fan, you see me bashing the knicks? the pacers? the warriors? the wizards? the thunder? the kings? etc…
no… i’m not a little kid who’s ego is whack and i don’t think highly of myself.
congratulations ryan for being our kanye west of the nbadraft.net forum.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:42am #182737
gatorheelsParticipantbkballer- The Pacers are better than the Knicks. The Pacers actually do have some young talent…Brandon Rush, Roy Hibbert, Hansbrough. Plus we all know about Granger. Troy Murphy & Dunleavy are solid. TJ Ford is a better PG than anything the Knicks have.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:44am #182738
HaleParticipantGranger alone is better then anyone the knicks have had in a long time. You can’t talk about depth because the Knicks have very little also. Hibbert if you look at the numbers was actually decent plus they have a rising young player named Brandon Rush, who should become an elite defender. Also Troy Murphy. They just have a better team then the Knicks IMO.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:45am #182739
Ryan.Cook2Participantyou can’t say anything because the grizzlies are worse than the knicks. your’e cool for going on an nba site calling people names instead of knowing anything. homo
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:46am #182741
bkballerParticipantthank you d-grizz my point exactly, why do fans of teams that are no better and even if they are better by a tiny amount continue to make threads saying how awful the knicks are its irritating, i don’t see fans of championship contenders doing that because they dont need to boost their egos. As ive said before don’t be shocked if the knicks finish on top of some of these teams. ITS POSSIBLE, pacers are nowhere near a lock for a good year.

HaleParticipantI’m a Suns fan, the only teams in the NBA I hate are San Antonio, Boston and the Lakers.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:53am #182756
d-grizzlyParticipantyou see that? ryan’s emotional again. If you compare mayo to rush…there’s no contest. if you compare hibbert to gasol or thabeet…you may outdo thabeet. if you compare gay and granger…that’s just a tough debate..although i think granger has the upper hand. rudy gay will develope into what he should be. Mike conely is better than any guard on the pacers. i like murphy.
not only do you speak as if what you’re saying is dead true, you’re also hypocritical. You get on here and bash peoples hopes for the playoffs. you can’t speak as if things are a done deal. what if lebron breaks his ankle with one of his highlight dunks? what if garnett goes down again..and pierce actually has a real knee injury this time…?
what if gali actually plays very well and the knicks keep nate and lee? what if curry actually plays real basketball this year?
what if your beloved pacers don’t make it and the knicks do? what if granger hurts himself pretty bad?
and you called me a homo as a substitute for jerk, idiot, dumb. you really get defensive quickly. you obviously missed the point about me saying because i’m a grizzlies fan and don’t bash other teams….get it through your dumb@ss head that because you have a better team, that it doesn’t mean it’s cool to bash lower teams.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:54am #182757
Ryan.Cook2Participanti don’t hate the knicks, i hate their fans. the bulls are my least favorite team, but bulls fans dont come on here saying they are gonna win the championship.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:57am #182764
Ryan.Cook2Participantwhat if lebron breaks his ankle? the cavs are still better. what if garnett goes down? celtics are still much better. you made zero good points again.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/16/2009 - 10:58am #182766
bkballerParticipantyess saying we have a slight chance to make the playoffs is clearly equivalent of winning the championship

NYK2010ParticipantAnotha Knicks hater how many times these fools are gonna keep saying the same garbage. You still got the Bucks, Pacers better than the Knicks look at the records w/Granger they won 4 more games. Knicks didn’t even have a full roster no Marbury, Curry, Mobley and the end of the year they had mostly no names. Milwaukee would peak at 40 wins with RJ, Villenauva but their gone still thinking Bogut is a star?

crazyknicksfanParticipant>>We are adding Almond and Tim
where did u read that? i heard the rumor about thomas but not almond
even though ima knicks fan i think the knicks have a very slim chance of making the playoffs. the reason being that 1) they lack a backup pg. duhon is not gona play consistently good every game.
2)going for old guys like kidd is very bad. i understand the leadership that they bring but come on lets face it.kidd. miller hill cant play like their younger days
3)the east has the
Celtics
Orlando
Cleveland
Atlanta
Chicago
Washington
Miami
Indiana
Charlotte
Toronto
Detroitall of whom r better than the knicks right now

knicks82Participantthe top 3 teams are set in the east (Orlando,Cleveland,Boston) but as for the rest of the east its a toss up. You cant say that one team is better than the other till the season actually starts. I will say the knicks won 32 games with no depth at all, no true center, and no shooting guard for the majority of the season. Toney Douglas will be the starting pg of the future for this team, in 2 summer league games he has 21 assists to just 2 turns. Add Jordan Hill and Darko, a healthy Gallinari, and this team def has as good a shot as any of those other sorry teams in the east. And mark my word..Gallinari will light it up if his back is right. Same with Chandler.

QHaynes20I know Basketball
I felt the Knicks would add some players that can help…they did not.
I was right about Gallo and Chandler getting more PT tho.
If the Knicks can look towards moving Eddy Curry, maybe a spark of hope can arise.
Also, the Knicks are interested in Monta Ellis and Tracy McGrady….I see them getting one of them.
You were right, the Knicks are not gonna make the playoffs. But I never said 100% the Knicks were gonna be a playoff team. I said they had a chance.
