guy had 29 tonight. He’s averaging 26 over his last 3 games. He has scored double digits in 25 of the last 26 games. Its still to be seen what kind of player he is in the league cause the warriors are sorry and he doesnt do anything but score points. But hes shooting 44% from three on the season and since the team traded away monta ellis, he looks like he could be a big piece of the warriors future.

and i was kinda worng about him. I gave him credit for what he did in college but i doubted his abilities to be a big impact as a pro. I just saw too many games where he got d’d up and he had a hard time creating offense vs good one on one defenders. I said that tyler honeycutt would have the better career, but klay is playing better then i expected. And when all else fails, he has one undeniable nba skill and thats shooting the rock.

it should also be noted in these recent 3 games where he is averaging 26, he is also getting 6 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals per showing a little more well rounded effort.

I’m really high on this guy, to be honest, I think Golden State is going to be a good team next season if Bogut can stay healthy.  David Lee will finally get to play alongside a good and big defender, Curry and Thompson make for one of the better shooting combos in the league, and if they can add a wing defender and bring Dorell Wright off the bench along with Nate Robinson, they can be a threat.  If Curry and Bogut are 100% they can be a fringe playoff team next season and be over .500.

I don’t believe he will ever be an All Star, unless he becomes a third option on a team. The guy is a deadly shooter from anywhere. But deosnt have the speed and athleticism to be great player. A very nice puzzle piece guy.

a lot rides on curry and bogut being healthy. Also like you said they need someone who just locks down on defense, maybe a couple of guys who can do that casue the offense will be there.

If they can grab another defensive big to play off the bench.  Ian Mahinmi?  And maybe Sam Young, Dahntay Jones, or Mickael Pietrus to be their defensive wing, they can be a pretty good team.  I like what Mark Jackson has and I think he has the IQ to put it all together if they can grab some defensive players in free agency for cheap.

I can’t believe how injury prone Stephen Curry is.  We already know how good Bogut is when he’s healthy and 100% playing alongside a good point guard.

GSW future looks really good but they have to be healthy.  Also it will depend on GSW success whether Thompson makes the All star game because he could be like Kevin Martin who can score but will probably never be an All Star or he could be like Reggie Miller, Mitch Ritchmon, and Ray Allen.

..could cost mark jackson his job. I think the big thing for Klay is how much he works on his game and his shooting… he should be idolizing players like ray allen and reggie miller by spending tons of time in the gym putting up shots

 Steph just needs to stay off his feet for the rest of the season and just rest his ankles. Then in the offseason get in the gym every day and work on his leg strength and durability. He’s a competitor and is one of my favorite players so I hope he can piece things together and lead his team to the playoffs next year when its not such a shortened schedule.

The Sixers aren’t doing too well right now and maybe Iggy’s finally worn out his welcome. Warriors would be in win now mode with a very solid defensive/ball-movement team.

 Yeah, giving Thompson and Tyler minutes down the stretch will prove really smart next year.  Thompson is obviously further along in his development, but GS might be pretty solid next year.

This kid is the real deal. As a Warriors fan, I think he can be a Reggie Miller type guy for his career. I am in no way trying to compare how good he’ll be to Reggie, in terms of style of play and scoring ability,  I could really see Klay avereaging 19 ppg or even more for the next decade, hopfully even sneak into an All-Star game or two.

And the best part is that we’re giving our young guys PT, now that Jenkins has played somewhat well he will be viewed as a valuable asset, Klay is playing well, and we have the perfect roloe players around our top guys, and in the mids of all of this, we’re losing! Now we can get our top 7 pick, and hope for the best. But Lee has proved to me has was worth that monster deal, Curry needs to get some German surgery and he’ll be fine, Bogut needs to stay healthy, and now you put in Dorrell at the three, Klay at the two, Robinson, Jefferson, and Rush off the bench, sign another solid big man, and we have a solid playoff team. If only we could get a franchise player through the draft, add him to this core, and boy that would be scary.

Unless Bogut is a defensive force again, it’s hard to see this team succeed.  They’ve got the offense to compete with anyone, but besides Bogut, no one is any good on the other side of the ball.

I thought he was a little soft defensively and on his drives to the basket, but he’s been playing very aggressive lately.

A lot to like about him heading forward. He looks like he could follow along in the footsteps of a Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, better three-point shooting Richard Hamilton, etc.

On D he plays very well the passing lane and has quick hands to strip the ball… On O he shoots from all other the court with confidence and efficiency and moves through screen like few sg in the league. He’s more versatile than expected and can create for teamates. I love what he brings to the table. He could be paired perfectly with steph’ curry forming one of the most smooth backcourt of the west conf’.

Batum would be a great addition at small forward during the next Free Agency bringing defense, IQ, athleticism and 3pts touch. But the real issue in this team is HEALTH. Bogut and lee could form a very solid and smart frontcourt (with passing skills for shooters like thompson…).

Trading for Iggy may not be a bad idea.  Iggy’s defense and all around play would work pretty well for a Mark Jackson type of team.  Also I am sure that if Bogut is resting, he should come back at least 75 80 percent which is better than most NBA Centers. Curry is still young and needs to rest and rehab that ankle.  I just hope injuries do not derail them like Houston.  Also to save Jackson’s job, taking a rookie may not be wise.  I think they will go after Kidd-Gilchrist though since he game is similiar to what they will be looking for. GSW has a way of finding some nice D league talent for their bench so moving a pick and RJ, contract for Iggy gets my vote.

jus had a convo with one of my buddies  the other day and i said Klay will be a 25 ppg scorer real soon. (next year) he’s playing with jenkins and nate. wait till he has a real facilitator in steph back to get him better looks

That is a little ridiculous, there are only 4 players in the NBA this year over 25 PPG (http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp). That is not an easy task to accomplish. I do not see him on that superstar level.

I loved the Rip Hamilton comparison, I am high on Thompson. I like his game. (As was pointed out, when he is aggressive, he can really attack).
