rickyD510ParticipantThe main time I usually contribute to this site is to talk about the kings or the warriors…and in a very slow time for me as a basketball fan on this website i wanted to get a "fix" so "now here we go"(the joker from dark kningt)
- "His shot, I think is 1,000 times better than it was last year."-pete carril http://hardcourtmayhem.com/kings/?p=373 (link also contains video of rekes ‘1,000 times better jumper’
- kings ticket sales are booming, over 1,000 more season tickets have been sold in the 2010-2011 compared to the 2009-2010 season http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/warriors/2010-09-29-warriors-make-smart-move_N.htm (towards the bottom of the page its a little bullet)
- donte greene says he’s added 25lbs of muscles and is currently at 251pounds http://www.sacbee.com/2010/09/30/3067376/kings-notes-donte-greene-adds.html
- hassan whiteside also added "25lbs" evidence shown in this video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C3w9RSzIgw&feature=player_embedded also it seems if Jason Thompson has grown a little(listed 6-11) cuz he look’s a little taller than hassan whos listed at 7-0

llperezhis jumper still looks like it needs work. His off hand leaves the ball too soon and he basically sling shots it at the rim.

NarcParticipantHassan looked great. He’s still rail thin, but you can obviously see that he has been hitting the gym hard and looks like the work ethic is there, which is always key for guys picked in the 2nd round. I see great things for both Whiteside and Thompson.

TheWizardParticipantHassan looks rail thin?? I dont think you have seen him since draft day because he wighs 250 now. Derrick Favors weighs 240 and is only 6-9, but still.

Mr. 19134ParticipantKevin Durant is still rail thin. Hassan Whiteside is jacked. Dude you see the video. The kid got a lot of muscle on him now and his chest is all puffed out. If he keeps working out his body looks like it could develop a DH type physique. Now remember DH is 6’10 and weights like 270. But at 7’1 weighing over 250 is impressive before he even started his first training camp. Give him 2 more years to fully mature into his body combined with his athleticism and length and Hassan is going to be one of the real steals of this draft. Somebody with his potential and size should not of fell to the second round. So many other bigs were taken over him that I have no idea what the GM’s were thinking. I like Whiteside a lot before i saw his new physique. Now i’m fully convinced the kid really has the work ethic to be a great center in this league.

Mr. 19134Participantyeah and theres no way Jason Thompson grew and inch.
I wish Thad Young would hit another growth spurt because if he was 6’9 or 6’10 he’d be an all star power forward.

stanford hoopsIt’s good that he gained weight because once the season starts he will lose at least 15 pounds from all the practicing and running. Lamarcus aldridge was just talking about how NBA players gain weight during the summer because they lose most or all of it during the season

utehawkfan1026Participanti can see the kings winning at least 40 games this year… tyreke and jason thompson are only gonna get better, and i feel like like cousins will be a great asset for the kings. all he has to do is keep his head on straight

omphalosParticipantI really hope the Kings sneak in for the 8th playoff spot in the West.
Kings already have the size to defend the Laker bigs in Dalembert, Cousins and Whiteside. Even if their offense isn’t fully developed yet, Sammy and Hassan are great shot-blockers and defenders who should temper the dominance of the Laker bigs even if they can’t stop it completely. Factor in how well the Kings played against the Lakers last season already and you’d have a hell of a series to watch. Kobe vs Reke? ‘Nuff said.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI almost want them to get another top 5 to 10 pick and get that great Pg or Sf in the draft, but if they play great and really come together sooner than expected then they will be a nightmare for a top seed thinking they got an easy W…
And the more I think about it…Thad Young for hassan Whiteside sounds like a nice deal…But I’d want a draft pick from the Kings if was the Sixers…Thad is close to finished product and with the Starting spot in Sac Town he would be a solid 16 to 20 point scorer…his skills, lenght and athleticism would be huge for the Kings…and The Sixers getting a young Center Prospect would be a great Move for them…getting a 2nd round pick (potential 1st round if they make the playoffs this year) would help the Sixers then look for a steal or Euro to stash…
