TyroberParticipantThey drafted Tyreke Evans who is going to be terrific scorer, but the only problem is he plays the same position as their star player now, Kevin Martin. How are things going to work when your two best players both play the SG position. If you saw evans play in SL then you know hes not a PG. Im still shocked they didnt get rubio would have been perfect for them but maybe they are trying to bomb next season and land john wall. Maybe they decided Evans + Wall > Martin + Rubio. I just think KMart HAS to be traded at some point.
please post a few trade ideas for KMart

Michael.S.ParticipantWhy cant he play the 3?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 12:33pm #217156
The8thDeadlySinParticipantHe only weighs like 180 pounds and he is 6’7. He would get destroyed.

llpereztyrober, I actually like your bulls prediction. Not sure about the Utah one though unless they include NY’s 1st round pick instead of their own. I just doubt the Kings would throw a huge contract at Boozer to keep him as a building block. ANd KMart makes a decent 10 mill per for the next 3-4 years I believe. But if Utah throws in NY’s pick, which should be much higher then Utah’s, then I could see the Kings doing it.

Michael.S.Participanthe only weight 180, yes, but Tyreke can guard the 3’s and Martin the 2’s, Martin can play the 3spot on O and 2spot on D. agree?

TyroberParticipantif they included NYs pick im sure the kings would jump all over it. two potential top 5 picks in a loaded draft? theyd be crazy not too

llpereztrue, but since the kings might lose booz after one year and there is a slight chance that the Kincks pick might be closer to 10, it wouldn’t be all that lop sided. Plus the Jazz would have a young sg who could play off the ball and be a great compliment for DWill.

JNixonParticipantI dont think the Kings took Rubio because he wouldve b!tched out like his did for the T-Wolves and he’s eerily similar to Udrih. He also isnt a good enough defender in the backcourt, which they really needed.
Evans isnt a PG, and I think Kevin Martin will be moved because he is the same position that Evans is (SG). Martin isn’t really good at anything outside of scoring/shooting, which he’s great at. But he’s a tradeable player, and the Kings wouldn’t lose sleep if they had to pull the trigger, since he’s one-dimensional and injury-prone.
I think a trade would be something like
Kevin Martin
for
Raymond Felton
Desagna Diop
Derrick Brown/ 1st round pick0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 12:45pm #217167
McWinningParticipanthow about Kmart for Boozer. they add a good big guy i think that could really help them.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantEvans could guard 3s but you dont want him to. He is young and would get in foul trouble immediatly. Just wouldnt work, also, he would get over powered by most 3s.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think we should see how this work for now because let’s be honest, they are not going to the playoffs this year even if they make a trade. Not in the West. A lot can change. I remember Lebron can into the league as a point guard. He isnt there now.

BlazermannParticipantthe trade to the bob cat is good 4 a 1 rounder and one person not three that 2 much 4 a player that only scores

Henry25Participantwhy r u all so quick to predict Evans can’t play pg? Thats the position he has playes all his life and his teams are always successful when he’s there. If u remember as soon as Evans was switched to pg at Memphis they won like 20 games straight. I think he will do really well at the point and make u all eat ur words. If Westbrook and Rose can play point, so can Tyreke
0- Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 5:11pm #217269
SlimParticipantTyreke can play the 1 or the 2 like Stuckey but the Kings
will lose no matter what because they have no excellent
defensive presence to complement their scoreres
LAL, DEN, HOU, SAS all have defensive presence complement scoring
Kings just have 1-dimensional scorers
They need some defensive backbone ala POR with Oden
that way they could move Hawes to the 4 spot because Jason Thompson
is a weaker version of Lamarcus Aldridge in my opinionagree or disagree?

JNixonParticipantJust because you need the ball in your hands doesnt mean your a PG. That’s what that whole letting Evans play PG thing was about…He isnt all that great playing off the ball, and with him having the ball every play it maximized his skills. I mean you dont have to be a pure PG to play PG in Calipari’s offense. He’s run it with Wagner (who wasnt a pure PG), Darius Washington Jr (who wasnt a pure PG), Derrick Rose (who’s not a pure playmaker, but he is a pure PG), Tyreke (who’s not a PG) and now John Wall (see Rose). He played PG because it allowed him to play on the ball, and create shots mostly for himself. Not because he’s some guy that makes his teammates better. If you are an elite slasher (which all those guys are) you will be successful in the dribble drive offense.

dmo21Participanthow about a straight up trade of kevin martin for monta ellis.
Ellis wants out of Golden State(i heard in another post) and on the kings he would be there starting point guard, which he wants.
The Warriors get a shooting guard that will be partnered up with steph curry to be Golden State’s backcourt of the future.0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 7:52pm #217473
thunderforthewinParticipanti think they got a good big man in spencer hawes
hes got the size and skills to succeed in the post
i think he will breakout in the next 2 seasons0 - Posted on: Tue, 09/29/2009 - 5:23am #217520
youngmagParticipantU notice how when Memphis switched Evans to the PG spot they won 20 in a row right? Shows why hes been drafted as a pg.

SpencerIsHawesome2Participanti dont know how many times i can say this but Wall+Evans would suck. THEY CANT SHOOT.

lalailaParticipanthow many stars SG(be serious, he is absolutely typical sg) were good shooters in their rookie seasons, for example Wade shot worse i think, and now he is pretty good shooter even from 3point line
