It has to be Russell and WCS.

I’d think Russell and WCS as well. I’m not a big WCS fan so I’d probaly take Jahlil and hey maybe Winslow falls to 6. I’m assuming Gay is traded away so you’d be starting over almost entirely.

Sac will be getting either Randal or Clarkston in such a deal, which would factor into "which combo". If they get Clarkson, I think you go bigs with Okafor and Turner. If they receive Randal, maybe Russell and Turner. I should like a huge Turner fan but he compliments both Okafor and Randal.

Reiunite the Dukies in Sac – at least you know thay’re winners.

    PG – Collison
    SG – McLemore
    SF – Gay/Winslow
    PF – Gay/Randle
    C – Okafor

They’ll still need to find a rim protector at some point, but that doesn’t look so bad, especially if Landry’s deal is jettisoned as part of the deal.

Not saying that’s a playoff team, but it’s a good foundation. Grab another player in the lotto next year, trade Gay at some point, develop the youngsters and I could see a rapid upswing within a few years if things pan out just a little.

First, I think they only make the trade if Randle is available. Clarkson and #2 are not enough. I hear they want all three and for the Lakers to take Landry. As a Kings’ fan I’ll take that deal! I doubt the Lakers do all of that though.

I don’t think Cousins in Sac = championship and it appears a championship is what Ranadive is after. I think he’ll play better elsewhere and they’ll be better in the long run without him. My concern with Cousins is he appears to be too stubborn to follow and too volatile to lead. This is a difficult thing to manage on a bball team.

If they lose Cousins I would think they’d take Okafor (don’t kill me but I’m not sold on Towns over Okafor). I know there is a lot of talk about Rondo and a one year deal too. Then Winslow (Karl should love this guy) or Hezonja to come off the bench. They need depth desperately.

Okafor/Randle/Gay/Mclemore/Collison. If you get Rondo (a stretch, but still a possibility) you have a bench with Hezonja or Winslow and Collison, that’s some decent depth for the first 7.

If they can get rid of Landry and/or Thompson’s contract and sign someone with some value this team could be very solid. There are rumors of JaVale McGee and he would be a great back up and could team with Okafor pretty well.

Thats a promising group. Here I was thinking Karl would run the team into the ground like what Adelman did with the Wolves bringing in "His" guys. If the Kings maximize Cousins they could have a really promising core of players all on rookie deals which is huge because they don’t have as much pressure to try to appease any of them with the "win now" ideal.

Is Stauskas going to be a player or are they giving up on him? Can’t imagine he couldn’t at least be a decent role player.

I’m 99% sure this doesn’t go through and if it does, I’m 99% sure the Kings would move pick #6 for Ty Lawson or another established veteran.
