Apparently a 5th grader in Nebraska got in trouble for organizing a bracket group with his friends at school, and got in trouble for the 5 dollar entry fee.
I know they classify it as gambling, but seriously? I mean I remember back in Elementry school there would be 5 dollar wagers on the Super Bowl, and that was it. Of course it's teacher's job's to make sure there aren't any Benjamin's thrown around the yard, but I think in this situation the school didn't need to issue a punishment I know it's against the rules, but it's not somthing to go around calling people's parents. I swear every time my teachers or principal called my parents I damn near had a heart attack.
It's not that big of a deal, but the school should've let it be.
