IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s crazy here in Indianapolis too… They ripped the gates down at Champs and busted out the windows at Finish Line.
Wtf is wrong with people? Are these pair of J’s that special?

Mr. 19134ParticipantI’m from Philly and I’m so use to hearing stories like this nothing surprises me. I remenber in I think it was ’02 2 dudes tried robbing some dude for his Iverson jersey but when dude refused they killed him. Allen Iverson who heard about it through the news stepped up and payed for the kids funeral because he was from a poor family and donated money to the kids family.

WizardofOzParticipantThat’s around my way. I know a lot of friends of my that said they were going to D.C. to cop em, and a couple of them said they were scared to get robbed. But just for fucking shoes?!? R.I.P.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI had a kid one time get upset that I was even wearing Jordans to play basketball in.
"They should stay in the box and you should never wear them".
Yeah. Sure. Hey, I know a lot of sneaker heads, but I for one do not really understand it. If I have shoes, I am usually going to end up wearing them. That is what they are for. If you do not want to, that is fine, but I think there intended purpose is to be on your feet.
To kill someone over a pair of shoes is just awful, but these releases bring out some bad things in people. Luckily my brother is going to work around now rather than earlier, because you never know what they will be like. Really sad news that people were killed over this, or anything of the sort.
I guess some people think they will eventually be really valuable, I know a lot of them feel they will be family heir looms. That could indeed be the case, but how long are you willing to hold onto all those boxes? To each his (or her. Wait, who am I kidding, there are still no girls on this site) own. Just find it puzzling that people are willing to go this crazy over some cool looking shoes.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantLike MR.numbers said, this has been going on for years…I remember in the 90’s hearing about people robbing kids for their name brand shoes right on the street…Kids were afraid to wear their expensive shoes out in public..Some kids were even afraid to wear their Jordans at school..Those dumb bold MF’S would beat up kids much smaller then them and take their shoes…
I’ve heard so many stories about folks getting jacked for name brand shoes..And some grown folks shot someone just for accidently stepping on their shoes at a club..

aamir543ParticipantI’ll be honest, those Jordans,(concord ones) aren’t even that great. They look nice and all, but $250, and to wait 5 frickin hours in line……………..
And to kill someone over a pair of shoes?????? That is inhumane. It’s sad that stuff like this happens now days.
And every smart shopper knows that the shoes go on clearence in less than a year. Within 8 months, you’d be able to get those same shoes for 80 bucks. And thats not even including all the coupons you could save and add on.
I hope that stuff like this doesn’t happen and that the idiots get a harsh punishment, and that this kid rip.

ProudGrandpaParticipantI paid $70 for shoes once. Well, actually my dad paid 60, which was my limit, and I threw in 10.
Rich kids…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/23/2011 - 10:50am #617526
Mr. 19134ParticipantNot even rich kids people where Jordan’s in the hood probably more then anywhere else. I haven’t bought a pair of Jordan’s since I started having to do grown up things like pay rent and realized I didn’t have $190 to spend on a pair of sneakers if I wasn’t selling drugs. I still buy nice sneakers Jordan’s are just a little overboard price wise, and I’m not even the biggest Jordan Brand fan I prefer Nike and Adidas.
Like J. Cole said…"The code is death over dishonor, they killing n!gg@a over J’s, that’s death over designer…"

Mr. 19134Participant*wear…
@RudeBoy that Mr. Numbers comment made me CTFU and that’s actually a cool name imo…but I use 19134 because it’s my zip code and even tho I’ve moved around I’ve always pretty much lives somewhere in this zip code and the cool thing about it is if you put them numbers into Google it brings up a map of my hood and more info. I like knowing exactly where people are coming from and like them to know the same about me…Good Day Sir.

EuroBallParticipantJ.Cole – Nobody’s Perfect.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/23/2011 - 4:22pm #617590
aamir543Participant^Dude, I agree that nobody is perfect, but we say that when a guy does somthing like drive into a tree, or screw up on somthing minor, not when they take someone’s LIFE over something so paltry and superficial as shoes. They deserve life in prison.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/23/2011 - 4:35pm #617597
EuroBallParticipantIt’s one of J.Cole song. The song quote that same incident that happen here. Plus I’m tryinig to show people that J.Cole is the real deal.

Scottoant93ParticipantWow @rad that is truely one of the most ignorant comment anyone has ever posted on this site. Get a life and Grow the f@ck up
As for the kid R.I.P, this is an unfortunate thing to happen hopefully the culprit gets caught and gets life in jail, bet those sneakers will look real nice to his inmates
0 - Posted on: Sat, 12/24/2011 - 12:26am #617643
tuck243Participant"Mystery" kid is… Please check your sources other than social media because a few stars have died and T.I. is currently in jail because of them… But I will admit the ish is dumb… Majority spent more than half of they are worth on them shoes… The Black and Red are 10x better anyway… Coons

Lotto StudParticipantThis is BEYOND nut house! I’ve heard of Blood Diamonds, but Blood Jordans is way over the top for me.
BTW I am black….
Black people, yes you N*GGERS!!! Yall are so f*ckin ignorant to the point of taking lives over a pair of shoes that will come out the following year…If you want some Js that f*ckin bad, get it from the rough or better yet write Mike a 400 word sob story to see how far you will get!
This is just ignorant as f*ck, because those Js have came out about 20 times already.
I promise this sh*t urks me to the point of not liking Mike at all! If you know people (specifically speaking on the black community) because we are the ones who do stupid sh*t like this. Why put out limited amounts when you know your shoes are going to sell regardless.
I used to love Mike’s shoes just as much as the next person, and camp out with the best of ’em, but I gave up on purchasing a shoe that he puts out once I came of age and realized he was making my folks pockets decrease. As soon as you buy 1 pair the same exact pair comes out the following month in a different colorway. Dude is a straight up con artist! George W. Bush of the sneaker world.
I really would like to hear or see an interview from "The Man" himself, since he has people killing 1 another over a damn shoe.
Don’t get me wrong at all, because I respect Mike as a player, but when it comes to doing business, I don’t like or respect what he stands for as a man.
Rather having limited amounts of shoes…Do a Xmas giveaway for those limited pairs you want to put in the stores, then put everything else out for purchase.
