knicksfan7ParticipantHe’s only a freshman, but I really like the way he plays. I could see him as an NBA player 3 years down the road. With that being said he has to improve a lot of part of his game. What he needs to do is he needs an outside game, 6’7 and no 3 point shot = no shot at the NBA. He is not nor will never be a Chuck Hayes or DeJuan Blair player b/c he doesn’t have a big body. I really believe if he develops an outside game he will be an NBA player one day. He plays tough defense, can rebound the ball with anyone, very athletic, and is simply a hard-nosed Butler type of guy.
Thoughts??

M-DYMESParticipantMinus the stupid fouls at 30 feet out, he had a very good game today. Maybe he becomes a shorter Taj Gibson type if he puts on some more weight in college.

knicksfan7ParticipantI don’t have a comparison for him yet because his game is still developing, he is going to need a 3 ball in order to make it on the next level. The NBA isn’t going to select a guy that is 6’7 220 (I think he can get another 10 pounds) that can’t shoot the 3.

scoutguruParticipantHe’s just extremely raw and really is effective because of how hard he plays and his natural athleticism. It’ll be interesting to see how his game develops the next couple years. For his benefit, hopefully he develops more of a perimeter game long term, and not so much of a post game, which would be better for the college game, but not for the pros.
