SwatLakeCityParticipantLooks like Rubio knows who to defer to in the clutch. Clearly defers to the better player, Kevin Love. Especially in a night when he(Rubio) was struggling from field. Only hitting on 1 of 11 (his one make was in the 4th quarter) of his total shots and scoring just 9 points. On the plus side he did add 6 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. But clearly he knew that Love is the better player and knew defer to him in the clutch, even though he was and still is a phenom in Spain. Glad to see this combo working out better than the current combo of Westbrook and Durant is working out. Durant is the better player, but Westbrook wants to be and consequently is a ball hog and takes most of the shots away from the better player, Durant. Rubio on the other hand seems to be willing to defer to better and more accomplished teammates. The Wolves have finally become watchable! I contribute this success to new coach Rick Adelman and the new addition of Rubio, now they just need to get a better Center and a better SG. But they have at least one big man spot covered in Love and the most important position in the NBA (PG, besides Center) covered as well in Rubio. Congrats Wolves fans! Man that Northwest division is getting really tough now. Every team seems to be a tough minded, young, fearless, restless, and ready to fight, led by a fan favorite in OKC. Can’t wait to watch the Jazz battle the Wolves tomorrow night in SLC.

NYK2010ParticipantNice screen to get him open and the shoot was sweet.
Needed to see a good game after that garbage Knicks game.

RUDEBOY_Participant3 Years Ago who would’ve thought the Clippers & TWolves will be on National TV?

bennydabullParticipantwardb you have to be the worst poster ever. Everything you say annoys me.
First of all who said Rubio was expected to take the final shot? Did you even watch the game? He struggled shooting the ball but he played within himself and made huge plays. Especially in the 4th quarter. That last play was unbelievable how wide open Love was… the Wolves kinda got lucky because of a defensive breakdown by the Clippers.
Westbrook and Durant are completely different than Rubio and Love. Westbrook is a dynamic scorer who sometimes lacks good judgement. OKC doesn’t win ball games without his scoring.

M-DYMESParticipantDefer to Love? Rubio wouldn’t be taking the final clutch under properly executed conditions anyway. It would go to Love, D-Will, Ridnour, Beasley (when he returns), possibly even Ellington, Tolliver, or Randolph before him. Rubio relies on deception to score. He is not a guy you would typically want shooting a game winning 3. That shot to tie it though, the kid plays ball like its @ the YMCA. The sheer passion that poured out of him as he drained that 3 says it all.

PulseGlazerParticipantAt the very least, Love outplayed Blake. And now that we’ve ALL seen it on national TV, can we please agree Blake is terrible on D and Love has improved to at least mediocre, if not more? Love’s getting his rotations right usually and controlling his man – no mean feat when he’s prepping for the rebound pretty much constantly.

PulseGlazerParticipantBlake needs to play defense to even begin to be considered elite.
