The Scare Crow RisesParticipantStop making bonehead posts about Teams X Y and Z making a trade to get Love or Cousins…
No GM in their right mind would trade either of these players for a Draft Pick in 2013, its not happening sorry Fanboys…
The Cavs have been linked to both players, and they are said to be offering the #1 pick and Anderson Varejoe for Love or Cousins, the Wolves and Kings have turned the offers down from all inquiring Teams…
I see why people think Varejoe and Mclemore would help Minnesota who may lose Pekovic to free agency and have been searching for a complimentary Sg for Rubio, and Derrick Williams would get to start at Pf. I don’t think the Wolves trade Love for obvious reasons, Varejoe is still an injury risk, Mclemore is not a sure thing and the Loss of Love could be devastating to the franchise.
The Kings have no need for Mclemore at Sg, and trading Cousins for Varejoe and Noel would look foolish if both were to miss time due to injury (which is guaranteed with these 2 players)

Moon RiverParticipantI may agree with you that those two most likely will not be traded, but I really liked the idea of Love landing in Chicago to play with his buddy D. Rose.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThere is no way Love gets traded to a team like Chicago.
What would they offer? Boozer, Deng and the 20th pick? Just for the Wolves to say NO!!!
Most of the trades purposed on this site are ludacris by all accounts, they wouldn’t be accepted on a Video Game by a Virtual GM.
I’d love to see Love or DMC land somewhere exiting BUT we are not going to see it any time soon…

aztwulfParticipantand while you are at it, Pek isn’t going anywhere either. He will resign in Minny.

KHAM83ParticipantPek is a RFA. He will pursue the largest deal he can get, and then its up to Minny to match. They have said to have a match on how high they will go to match him. If another team was to give him 12million, I don’t think Minny matches it. Unless it’s Portland, bc they are in same division, I can then see Minny feeling the pressure to match it.

juves4783Participantthey are both not worth it.
love is a glorified stretch pf. the only difference is that he actually rebounds. a career 44% shooter for a pf is not worth the $13-14M he’s getting paid. toss in the injuries as well.
and…
cousins, well everyone knows he’s a nut case. no team with good chemistry is going to bring that guy into your locker room. and no coach wants that guy after his run ins with keith smart..

esperanzafleet69Participantso it isnt worth the best PF in the league because he’s a 44% shooter, can knock down the 3, and also happens to be the best rebounder in the league by far?
what would be worth it in your opinion then?

HitsterParticipantKevin Love is the face of the Franchise at the T-Wolves and post KG they have been waiting long enough to compete and if they finally get the roster all fit and on court together then we will see where they really are.
Sacramento have to make big decisions about DMC and Tyreke Evans soon as Tyreke is an RFA this year and they can renew DMC. How they deccide to manage the 5 year deal will be fun to see.
If it was next year’s draft and teams could trade to get Wiggins, Parker and co then you could see moves being made but I don’t see K-Love and DMC being in play for a high draft pick this year unless Cleveland for example offered a mega deal with numerous future picks as well.
I could see the T-Wolves seeing what the value of Derrick Williams is and if they could get a high pick in return then looking to do that as they are supposedly high on Oladipo.

apb540ParticipantBold claim to not be in the NBA’s inner circle and still go around saying a player will or won’t get traded. How in the world would you know what a GM is looking to do? I can however assure you that the Kings are at the very least taking calls on D-Cuz.

cuseflynn10ParticipantIf Minnesota can stay healthy, resign Pek, and land a solid draft pick (Oladipo, Shabazz, McCollum) to compliment Rubio, I think they will probably make the playoffs. Why trade Kevin Love in the offseason when you’re in great position to make the playoffs and maybe even go deep next year. If at the trade deadline they aren’t in the playoff picture, then they could trade Kevin Love if he is unhappy with the situation in Minnesota. Plus a trade of Kevin Love next year would likely bring in a good 2014 first rounder which is much more valuable than a good pick this year.
