Ok, so first of all I think he is not only a great player, but also has potential to be even one of the best players ever- when you are one of the best shooters ever thats also an athletic AND long 7 footer?? Just crazy.

But when he decided to go to the Warriors I was really disappointed. I saw it as not being competitive enough, as sort of "cheating", because not only are you joining the team that just outed you (after you had a 3-1 lead over them) and left one of the best players in the league, you also are going to a team thats one of the best ever- most wins in a season and like 1st place in Offense AND Defense by a wide margin in the league, all this while the whole make up of the team is under 28 years old. My thought was- OK, so you’ll win championships, but the team would have won them without you as well, so where is the competetive nature of trying to beat the best in order to prove you’re the best? Even though it was obvious he was going to be dominant there, because he’s just that great. But like- you’re not who made the team what it is, you just joined. It also ruined the league for me as I see no competition for them.( I think without the warriors this year the league would be super interesting)

Anyways-you’re probably thinking that I’m about half a year late with my little rant. But I’m not. He’s been injured for about a month now, and the last few weeks the Warriors have been a clear cut above the rest of the league – WITHOUT DURANT. A 10-game win streak (back-to-back-to-back HOU, Spurs, HOU, the best teams in the league). So, as one of the most talented players ever, an MVP that’s just entering your prime, my question to him is- Whats your purpose on this team? Litterally if my grandpa switched places with him they would still be heavy favorites to win the ‘ship. What’s going through his mind, what does he think about the Warriors winning so much? And lets say they win 3 championships in a row now, where will he be in the history books?? He’ll be the top scorer on those teams and have great numbers, but again-he’s not the main reason for the winning.

While I agree with you to an extent I cant help but think about how annoying this offseason will be for him if the Warriors dont win it all. The leagues in a really good place right now and has alot of talent. In my books whoever wins during these days are historically great teams.

I try to always be objective because I love the game and I feel like I’m very knowledgeable about it, but I have no good KD thoughts. He and the Warriors are the one thing I will put my bias over objectivity

He’s really good. That’s my good thought

I will go with the Warriors to win it all. KD comes back after his injury and picks his spots. Doesn’t try to do too much. The sitcom duo of Dray and McGee shut down the inside.  Cavs limp to the Finals and LeBron passes the torch but not before the C’s go down in 7 games in the ECF with visions of a top five pick (Fultz? Ball? Bell?) dance in Beantown Dreams…

The Cavs pass the torch. Spurs pass the torch even though Kawhi Leonard is the real deal.

Isaiah Thomas is what the NBA needs. The Celtics are lurking and about to pounce. The future is now, or, uh, next year. Could break off another one of those patented Celtics’ 5-10 year run.

Harden and Westbrook trade Intercontinental Championship belts back and forth — along with MVP awards.

Lakers go back to the future as they rebuild/reload this offseason. Laker BALL coming to a Hollywood near you?

Last I checked the Warriors lost last year in the Finals and 2 years ago beat the Cavs without Love and Kyrie in all but 1 game. Granted Iggy was injured and Bogut out plus Green’s suspension but their play was bad the last games. No way are the Warriors a lock to win the title without Durant. Also not sure if people have mentioned that he left a small market team.
