GlenTaylorSucksParticipantThis is the matchup I wanted for the final, and damn, will it be epic. I’m sure NBA scouts are foaming at the mouth at the concept of a Davis v. Robinson matchup. Gotta say though, I think Kentucky just has too much talent and will overwhelm Kansas. That said, Louisville showed how Kentucky can be attacked- by being brutish and physical, and playing relentless D. Kansas is capable of doing that, and it will be a very interesting matchup for sure. Kentucky will be in trouble if Robinson is a bulldozer in the paint and gets Davis and others into foul trouble.

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant"Foaming at the mouth"? Do they have rabies?
Davis vs Robinson the marquee match-up but my question is, who’s going to guard everybody else? This game is going to be on the shoulders of MKG and Terrence Jones, they should be able to do some damage with so much attention on Davis. One thing is forsure, it’s going to be a fun game to watch.

JoeWolf1Both teams were incredibly in-experienced when they matched up the first time so it’s great to see them play again after a season of experience and improvement. Not to mention a Self vs Cal rematch of 08′.
Great final IMO with the top 3 picks of the 2012 NBA draft.

HaleParticipantI’ll say Kentucky wins 73-66.

JoeWolf1If neither team scores 80, I think Kansas wins. They can grind it out and have proved to do so. If Kentucky gets the upper hand on offense then they win, but I think April Jeff Withey might be the biggest challenge Anthony Davis has seen all year.

HaleParticipantI just don’t think KU is good enough to beat UK. I know you’re a Kansas fan and you know much more about them then I do, but I just don’t see them winning.

JoeWolf1That’s the game, though, Kansas keeps it low scoring, they win. UK scores over 80, they’ll take it.

HaleParticipantFair enough.

ChrisCrossParticipantI see no reason why UK can’t beat KU for a second time, and they should, but that’s why they play the game. Gotta go with BBN, 71-66 to capture #8.

TRC1991ParticipantI agree that this current Kansas team is far better than the one we saw in the beginning of the season, but the wildcats of UK have improved tremendously as well… I can the Jayhawks competing but in the end I think UK has too much talent.

uknationParticipantDouble figure win. Out of the three teams I always thought U had the worst hance to beat us. They can’t defend and grind like UL because they aren’t as good on defense. Plus KU likes to get out and run. Both teams have gotten better since the last meeting but clear UK has made the bigger jump. This UK team is on a mission and I just don’t think KU has what it takes to defeat them

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantMy gut tells me Kentucky will win but I agree with JoeWolf. I think Kansas could pull it off if they keep it low scoring and get Davis in foul trouble. Bill Self has already beat Calipari in a championship game before and Kenutcky has more pressure on them since everybody has them winning and nobody thought Kansas would make it this far.

iguapops420ParticipantI think Kentucky SHOULD take this, but to be honest, I could see Jones fading as he has before and Davis getting put into foul trouble. Honestly, I think Lamb for UK and ELijah Johnson for KU could end up the x factors. I’ll go out on a limb and say KU 62-58

mgreener_34ParticipantOhio wasn’t nearly as long or athletic as this UK team is, and they still managed to disrupt what seemed like every pass from Kansas. 17 turn overs again by KU and the game will be a complete blowout. We know Davis is going to show up, so it will be interesting to see if Robinson can handle him (assuming they guard each other).

Johnny ChillLove to see teams that are lead by Upperclassmen win the National Championship.
UConn with Kemba
Duke with Singler, Smith, Scheyer
UNC with Hansbourgh, Lawson

M-EazyParticipantIf Kansas starts off the game like they did against Ohio State and Purdue, then Kentucky will blow them out.

rwd5035ParticipantKansas have been the comeback kids, but I worry about their offensive execution. If Tyshawn Taylor has one of his on nights from the floor, it will give Kansas a chance.
I’m going to pick Kentucky though. This is a big spot, and their nerves have to be really high. They are the favorites, but I feel they can contain T Rob, and if he doesn’t get going, Kansas will struggle.
I don’t get the notion proposed here that Kentucky will win if it gets over 80. If it gets over 70 I think Kansas would struggle. I just don’t see them scoring many points.
Kentucky 74 Kansas 63.
