RooneyParticipantTyler Ulis, Isaiah Briscoe, and Jamal Murray will most likely not all play together in the same lineup. What will the lineup be for the wildcats next season?
G- Ulis
G- Murray
F- Poythress
F- Lee
C- Labissiere
Bench: Willis, Briscoe, Matthews, Hawkins, and Floreal.

RooneyParticipantI asked you guys what you thought the lineup would be and I don’t know everyone on the Kentucky roster.

festar35ParticipantDon’t forget about Tai Wynard, 6’9 big body PF with nice soft touch and part of NZ U19 3 on 3 World Championship winning team.

Anton123ParticipantI think it would be somewhat insulting to Marcus Lee to start 3 freshmen and keep him on the bench. Murray provides shooting, which the team will need, but Briscoe has proven nothing yet and putting him in while keeping Lee on the bench seems could cause issues.

wonzi_bellsParticipantInsulting? Talent is talent. I don’t see why Marcus Lee should get any playing time with the only real skill he’s demonstrated is weak-side shotblocking. Given everything we know about Isaiah Briscoe with his size and ball-handling, he’ll provide volume scorer and can hit at all three levels in the college game. Those guys translate to the college game all the time, so I’m pretty confident in him. Not so much with Marcus, who I’d argue should have went to a different school like Wiltjer since a wave of elite freshmen big men are crashing over them every year.
PG: Ulis
SG: Briscoe
SF: Murray
PF: Poythress
C: Labissiere
Bench: Hawkins, PG, Mulder, SG, Matthews, SG/SF, Floreal, SG/SF, Willis, PF, Lee, C

GBeeParticipantThis is the lineup I foresee as well. Poythress would provide the strength that that frontcourt needs and he can play in space better than Lee, giving Skal a bit more room to operate. With that backcourt, they should run more dribble drive than they have in the last couple of years. And with that they’ll need driving lanes aka better spacing.
If Lee doesn’t like it then too bad. He should’ve transferred out a long time ago.

kerrstParticipantHe is a PG/SG not a SF by any means.

GBeeParticipantSo? That’s not how college ball works. 3 guard backcourts are more common than what we’d consider traditional in college ball. It’s about putting the best lineup out there, where the pieces are complementary and usually maximizes spacing.

JordanC20ParticipantThere’s no way that Alex is going to start at SF though..UK has tried that and it just doesn’t work because he’s not a 3 point shooter, doesn’t have handles, and not much of a passer. Lee will be fine coming off the bench and I think it would be best for him because he can be the energizer that every team needs off the bench.

hoffmanm6ParticipantI would not be surprised to see this starting line-up:
Ulis
Murray
Briscoe
Lee
Skal
I will get a ton of negatives because of this but bringing Alex off the bench gives Cal a bunch of flexibility. We know Alex is getting healthier and healthier but we don’t know if he will even be 100% when the season starts. I think this is the best line-up for my Cats going into next year. We will see a ton of dribble drives and ball screens from Skal with Lee cleaning up on the weakside. The bench will be nice too with Matthews, Alex, Michael, and a little bit of Dom and Willis.
