I don't know about how anyone else feels but I couldn't give Kenny Smith the GM job. He undoubtedly knows basketball, but to my knowledge he's never had a front office job. I wouldn't hire someone who's never worked in the front office as my GM. I could imagine giving him a job in the front office and maybe even assistant GM, but not GM.
I prefer him to stay with the TNT cast. It would be disappointing to see Charles & Kenny break up.
I guess he thinks becuz he did a great job of selecting the winning team for the rookie challenge..Thats makes him eligible to run a nba team....lmao
I think he needs to stay with TNT too. I wonder if he can do both. Be the Kings GM and be a part of the TNT team. Or, would he just show Kings highlights all night?
Huge fan of his on TNT not sure about him being a GM. Maybe a role under GM to mold him for a year or two.
I think if Sacramento wants to stick to the theme of sucking a lot which has been there calling card for the last 7 seasons they should hire Kenny Smith as GM. He knows a lot about the game but I don't think he would do such a great job with player personnel. He probably doesn't have such great knowledge of the salary cap or even day to day operations in the front office.
The 28 wins the Kings had this year was the most they had in the last 5 years. They have some talent on the roster on it doesn't seem to be gelling well. I would probably blow up the whole thing and start over. If you are going to be really bad next season is a good time to do it with at least 4 potential big time players entering the draft.
Wow... When 28 wins is the most a franchise has had in 5 f@cking years the word 'sucks' isn't even strong enough to describe it lol
Calm down he's only like the 30th name rumored for the job, I highly doubt ranadaive would hire someone with no experience. Hell, cweb was rumored just the other day lol.
