123ParticipantDoes anybody think Kemba can be a top 5 pick? What if the Huskies win the national championship?

HaleParticipantHe shouldn’t be. I love Kemba, but he shouldn’t go that early unless even more players come back.

ChrispyParticipantRemember that in all liklihood Kyrie will be the 1st point taken. Kemba shouldn’t fall too far, but it is also way too early to tell. When we get the lottery order then we can really start figuring out team positioning and needs. A lot depends on what team is picking where and what they need. I hear the Timberwolves want to draft Irving and Walker!

Charlie SheenParticipantI see him going in the lottery for sure. New York is his dream destination but I think MJ makes him his PG of the future

123ParticipantDown the road can he be top 5 from this draft class?

i’m jus so offendedParticipantif Kyrie is gone, the kings have to take him. I had Kemba in my top 5 two weeks ago and people laughed at me. Would you rather take a flyer on the international guys, someone like Burks or Perry Jones or Kemba dude. Kid is sick with it. At every single stage he has proved people wrong. He has shown he can get his teammates involved through both recent tournaments. He showed he can carry a team early in the season where he had a bunch of youngsters who were not ready yet. Where was Jeremy Lamb begining of the year? Kemba definently has something to do with that. He’ll be one of the quickest guards in the league as soon as his name is called at the podium. He averaged 5reb per the WHOLE year. he’s what 6’0" tops? thats disgusting. I dont even have to mention his clutch. Teams that pass on him will regret it. Imagine a core group of Big Cuz, Tyreke and Kemba….nasty, Kings bright future might actually become a reality

jaysmith1987ParticipantFinally people are realizing kemba is for real he has really good athletism he made big time blocks versus Kentucky he’s good but he’s still underrated have you seen Calhoun endorse another player this much.

iguapops420ParticipantIMO, any top 10 player could potentially go top 5 in this draft. Just dependsd on measurements and workouts. A national championship would help Kemba tremendously and assuming his pg abilities show up in private workouts, he could potentially go top 5. Ben Gordon managed.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI don’t think Kemba will go top 5. The Raptors could use but they need a SF or C more. They already have a young PG they are developing Jerryd Bayless. (Just had 26 points and 8 assists last night!!!) Why risk his development and draft Kemba when Barnes, or Williams, or Kanter are still available. Makes no sense to me.
Watching Kemba in the tourney one thing has become very apparent to me. He is a good passer but he needs the ball in his hands in order to be effective. Therefore he would not be a good pick for the Kings. Does anybody remember what happened when the Kings had both Evans and Martin? That’s why they traded Martin. Wanted to continue developing Evans but both needed the ball in their hands to be effective so they traded Martin. If they draft Kemba, it will be even worse because they will want to develop both of them yet once again both need the ball in thier hands to be effective. So I really think the Kings should do all they can to get Irving. Possibly trade up in order to get him. Irving is a better passer then both Evans and Kemba and he does not need the ball in his hands to be effective. Because of this he makes everyone around him better. I really think that if the Kings draft Irving, they will be in position for a playoff spot next year, but if they draft Kemba they will have trouble getting both Evans and Kemba the ball thus losing alot more games then they should next year. Kings need Irving like toast needs butter.
I really think Kemba would be a good pick for either Cleveland or Charlotte. Both franchises are sunk in water for different reasons and so was Uconn last year because of selfish players like Jerome Dyson, yet what does Kemba do this year…. he pulls them out of the water and has them contending for a national championship this year. Would be the perfect pick for a sunken Cleveland or Charlotte.

SupParticipantIf he is really 6’1″ I would take him number 1.
