Memphisboy14ParticipantCould someone please give me a good description of this guy’s game. I’ve seen some video but literally all I’ve seen is some dunks and his jump shot. I don’t know what the hype is all about. Now before someone starts thinking I’m trying to diss him I’m not. I just haven’t seen enough of him to know what the hoopla is about. Also does anyone have a good comparison for him. I’ve seen some Rudy Gay and Paul George comparisons.

caray12ParticipantI see lots of Paul George and Rudy Gay in him. He got a really good 3 point shot and he’s super athletic that likes to dunk everything on the paint. Right now he don’t have a good handle or he don’t have a mid range game but he has the potential to be a great 2 way player that can guard 3 positions on the court and play both wing positions. He’s 6’7" with a 7’2 wingspan. He won’t be great in college but in the NBA in 3-4 years he will put it together.

NeggedAlterEgosAlterEgoSee thats the scary thing wiggins showed he could affect a game still as a raw wing prospect.
If oubre doesn’t show similar things im scared . Rudy gay and George aren’t dominate players being a big Memphis fan I seen rudy go ghost a few games and hes very inefficient. George is a great player sometimes and a average player other times.
I want to see what he has.

caray12ParticipantHe’s due to be inconsistent because he is a raw prospect in the mold of Zach LaVine in which you see what he can do some games and in the others he folds and look bad. I believe if Paul George just need a pass first point guard to reach his full potential. He will never be the guy that creates his own shot consistently. But if he had Rajon Rondo as a point guard he will be more consistent and be a better player. That goes for Kelly Oubre as well and he can speed up his progression if he played for a pass first point guard that can get the ball the to him in the right spot. That being said in the NBA he will fit nicely in Philadelphia and Orlando.

druneave3ParticipantAthletic Reggie Miller perhaps. 6’7 wiry wing who can score numerous ways especially from deep. If Oubre has the drive and competitiveness that Miller had he will be really good bit I think that might be a concern.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI’ve seen a few Findlay games and all the all star games. He can shoot, but loves to shoot, somewhat of a gunner at times and hung his head if he didn’t touch the ball on the break. Small sample size I know, but needs somewhat of an attitude adjusment.

Lebronda JamesParticipantHe’s okay. Good athlete. Good physical tools. Not overly great ball handler, passer, or high % shooter. POTENTIAL to be a Rudy Gay based off athleticism. Should get transition buckets and recieve 3pt opportunities from kick outs.

JordanC20ParticipantHe likes to shoot the 3 perhaps too much…pretty good rebounder due to his wingspan…can be a good defender when he gives effort…doesn’t like to pass much.

McDunkinIt’s crazy to me how much his scouting report has changed over the last year or so. When I had first read about him I think the article compared him to an athletic kyle korver due to him just hanging around the 3 point line back then
