George 100000% of the time. Regardless of team.

      This shouldn’t be a debate.

Who is better at offense? PG.

Who is better at defense? It’s PG.

Who makes their teammates better? Not Kawhi. PG does.

    This is an easy decision.

I agree for the most part, Paul George is the better player and has the greater potential.

The one thing I will say is that the D aspect I couldn’t choose one over the other. I believe that they are the best defensive wings in the NBA (Tony Allen and leBron are great as well.)

Here is the thing I honestly feel that Leonard will end up being the better defender, here is why:

      1. Leonard is a stronger player and has the body to continue to bulk up and be able to handle the bigger stronger players.

      2. Paul George’s responsibilties going forward will be as the offensive option in Indiana the way things are shaping up, he has that potential and the Indiana franchise seems intent on seeing what they can get out of him. He will remain a good defensive player, but it will not be the staple for him going forward. Leonard will be able to focus on his D more and more.

         You make very good points.

When PG takes more of a solidified role as the team’s #1 option on the offensive end, he will undeniably have to burn less energy on the defensive side of the ball. Still though, the guy is a stud defender right now. To think he’s going to say, "no, I’m not going to defend KD or LeBron tonight" is out of the question. He’s going go toe to toe with the opposing team’s best player night in and night out. Maybe Leonard will be able to focus more of the defensive side of things, I will give you that for sure. But like you said. I don’t reckon there will ever be a  time that I will take one over the other on the defensive side. They both can lock someone up and throw away the key.

I have George over Leonard too. this is kind of a ridculous comparison to me. If George were on the SPurs they’d be back to back Champions. Paul George is all NBA and all Defense. George is considered one of the top 20 players in the league, Leonard just had the 3 best games of his life just now and they probably wouldn’t be in George’s top 5. I do believe Leonard is a better defender and he’s stronger mentally but Overall I believe George is better and its not really that close.

This thread already existed and overwhelmingly but not surprisingly most everyone had PG

Chilbert is correct. I posted on this very subject a matter of hours ago. It was an exhaustingly irritating thread too… I embraced it. Some folks will just always be..well… wrong. Wrong and dumb. And stubborn. Not trying to put any fellow posters down at all. I just thought this discussion was already put to rest a night or two ago. Haha.

If the Pacers didn’t have Granger at the time this tread would look different.

Maybe something the lines of George /leonard is there a more intimidating duo.

Both of them on the Pacers. Scary Defensive wings, would be fun to watch but can’t go back in time unfortunately
