Did he really say that? That he doesn’t know why?

Players who expect a certain level of minutes or role without justifying it with hard work and positive games really annoy me, especially if it is because of seniority.

What do you guys think about Kanter at PF next to Hibbert.  I haven’t followed his game that much over the years and would be afraid that it would be two back to the basket guys.

Kid looks absolutely lost defensively. Can’t say I’m too surprised.

Why is "Enes Kanter wants out" even news? That’s like "Corey Brewer wants out". These guys that actually think they deserve to "want out" is perplexing to me. Kanter is at best, a 3rd big guy for a team.

Him next to Hibbert would be atrocious on paper…Hibbert sits in the paint and protects the rim…because of that, Indy’s 4 man needs to have range defensively to cover ground on pick’n’pop type guys and hedge screens in two man game action.

The Jazz let Millsap and Jefferson walk away for free and got nothing back on either one of them.

The Jazz did not want to sign Kanter for $7.8 mill. Although he is a big body and has a nice shooting touch he has slow feet, weak defensively and not a shot blocker.

I have a feeling Kanter wants to be a starter somewhere else and wants to be PAID. Problem is I just dont’ think he is a starter in this league.

This year the centre position has been strengthened. No play off team will want Kanter and even the lotto teams have good young centres. Orlando, Sacramento, Jazz, Wolves, Nuggets even the Nets and Sixers have decent option young centres.

The only teams I can think of that might be after him – New York, Lakers and possibly the Celtics. I think Ainge won’t pay too much, but the Lakers and Knicks have been known to overpay players – although I think both have learnt their lessons in recent times. Okafor and Towns are both coming in the league also. Lakers have Randle up front – not a great shotblocker, him and Kanter would not be ideal.

Kanter is probably wanting a 5 year deal at $10-12 mill per season, with the emerging young centres I just dont’ think he gets it. Who is going to pay that for a guy that is not a guaranteed starter ?

I personally reckon the Jazz would be lucky to get a second rounder for him…..

It’s unforunate that Kanter is forcing his way out of Utah. He obviously has been led to believe that he is much better than he actually is, and deserves more than his 28 minutes per game. And wants a starting role, even though he already has/had one.

However, he is an offensively skilled and very big/strong/large center that is only 22 years old. Yes, he needs work on the defensive end but he’s not a bad guy to take a chance on for the right place. I could see the Celtics, Lakers, and Knicks all going after him but the Celtics are the only ones with real assets. Maybe Kanter for Bass and pick(s)?

What guys do you think about Kanter and Steve Novak for Khris Middleton and Larry Sanders?

Maybe a rebuilding team that isn’t particularly patient could have interest ( NY, or LA come to mind ). That’s still risky when dealing with draft picks. I’d imagine Utah would want a 1st rounder for him, and a lot of times these kind of trades end up screwing the team looking for the quick fix.

I’ll be curious to see what the market is for him.

He kinda remind me of a soft Andrew Bogut.  I’m not sure any team want a player that’s soft and not really a GO-TO type of guy in the low post.   And that’s the only thing he provides for a team.   You can’t do anything with a player like that starting IMO.

Actually, I’m sitting here trying to think what team need a low post player who doesn’t protect the rim and isn’t efficient down low?  Even Carlos Boozer was more of a Go-to guy.  Kanter is like Andrea Bargs without the range.   LOL

He would be a great contributor to OKC. Not sure how they’ll get him but to have a post scorer off the bench is valuable for OKC, they could get a strong 20 minutes from them.

No way OKC wants a guy like this. A big part of their game is agressive defense and run in transition, not what Kanter brings.
