delfamParticipantSo is Enes Kanter a PF or a Center. Looking at his playing style he plays more like a PF IMO, but I think he’s 6′ 10".
I guess you could compare him to Al Jefferson as he’s a mix between the two.
I ask this because I see people having Minnesota picking him but Love/Kanter seems like a horrible combo on defense and size wise, I see Kanter as a bigger PF.

mikeyvthedonParticipantHe can play the 4/5, but I think he would be most comfortable at the 4. I am thinking the Al Horford comparisons are pretty solid, and they are just about the same size, with Enes being even a little bigger most likely when he gets measured. He is not incredibly athletic, but he is definitely athletic enough and he is strong as an ox. 6’11, I am guessing around 260-270 and a 7’1 wingspan (which is slightly below average for a Center), but he has no problems with playing in the post. He moves really well without the ball and is a great rebounder.
These days, the Center position is a lost art, and you never really know who will play it anymore. Lumbering big men are becoming for the most part a thing of the past, or at least playing much less of a role. This has made countless players better suited for the 4 spot legitimate Center options, and I am guessing that Kanter will be used as such by whatever team selects him. Still, he has the ability to play either position, and I would not be surprised if teams have him guarding 5’s most of the time as he has the strength to do so.

Tha_PrinceParticipantPF for sure, he has even admitted to saying he thinks the forward spot is his natural position.
I feel like just because he is big and physical that people automatically put him at the C. He can play Center but it’s hard for a player to come into a new league not to mention playing out of position for every game.
I still think Minny will take DWill, I’m looking for them to move this pick though.

ghettosermonParticipantWhile IMO he’s a nautral 4 I think he can be a great fit at center if he’s playing beside an Ibaka type at PF, but beside Kevin Love I’m just not sure. Neither is a good help side shot blocker so longer teams will just shoot over them. He’s still probably the best pick but much like Jefferson and Love it’s not an ideal fit.

delfamParticipantSo with Beasley does Minny take Jonas at #2 or does Beasley not deter them from taking Williams.

Memphis MadnessParticipantAn offensive low post guy. So he would basically do what Kevin Love does. Derrick Williams is the better athlete and can play the 3 so I have the T Wolves picking Derrick Williams.
I have Kanter going to the Cavs at 4. I think he can play with Hickson up front since Hickson is a good athlete. Kind of small up front but I can also see Kanter playing power forward some with Varejao or Hollins at center.
I think that you need two big men that complement each other. So Kanter is basically a low post scorer with power forward size who is not an elite athlete. That’s why I don’t think he would fit up front with Love or with Bargs up in Toronto.
I like him better on the Cavs since I think he can play with either JJ Hickson (going small) or Varejao/Hollins (going big).
I also don’t think he fits in with the Jazz who have mostly scoring big men up front. Low post guys who aren’t really centers either. So I have the Jazz taking Brandon Knight.
