What could the Clippers get in return if they packaged Kaman and the 8th pick together?

    Tony Parker?

They would move Davis later of course. Maybe to Pacers or Bobcats. Davis for Murphy? Davis for Chandler?

As for SF they would still have max cap space.

But what I’m asking is… what could they get for Kaman and 8th?

Denver needs somebody to score inside and has no draft picks so they are the likeliest trading partner. They would give you Nene and Afflalo. salaries of kaman and nene are nearly identical next year. Deal works but the clippers may want something more.

Why would you trade Kaman in the first place? He is one of the few all-star caliber centers in the entire league! If the Clippers truly do want to lure Lebron, Kaman is not one of the players they want to trade! Last year he averaged 18.5 and 9.3 in 34.3 minutes per game, making him statistically a top 3 center at the very least.

    I couldn’t say it better myself Da1pot. +1

Just shows how many people have not seen Chris Kaman play. The man was a all-star last season if I was correct.

but he’s on the block…Iguadola and Hawes maybe a future 1st for Kaman and the 8th…You get a to 5 Sf and young center to replace Kaman one day…We get a top 5 center and pick to add depth to the line up.

How could you say he was a All Star caliber center then call him a top 5 Center?

kaman and the 8th for Hedo and Jose.

    Makes Baron expendable.

But Hedo and Jose are not worth the 8th pick. Throwing Kaman into the deal makes it lopsided.

if this were last year…. this deal would be lopsided for the team getting Hedo. Depends on which year was Hedo’s off year. Hedo with the Magic or Hedo with Toronto?

Even then. Your giving me two overpaid players.

I’m giving you a All Star Caliber Center and a top 10 pick. Does that sound fair?

An all star with one of the most injure ridden histories of any current player. When healthy, he is a star. When hurt, he is just a guy on the bench collecting checks. LA has him on the blocks cus they are betting last season was a fluke of him being healthy the whole year.

If this is 2009, you argue that you are getting a guy who just had an all star type season for a guy who is always injured….. but we switch the names.

He’s only had one season where he played less then 40 games. Injuries happen. He’s still a ASG type player. Hedo is not. Calderon is not. Unless you throw in maybe the 13th pick? That’s a lopsided deal.

I am just saying that I think this year was am off year for Hedo and Jose. Their contracts make them look like they are overpaid, but in the right situation (LA Clippers) they could really thrive. Jose prvoed this year he doesn’t need to start to be effective, but he can really shine as the starting pg. And if I were LA, I would rather have his contract than Baron “I am hurt as often as Kaman” Davis.

Plus, your not even giving up a pick. The Clippers will need a pick back to help the big men depth if that deal goes down.

yeah, giving up the 13th would be too much…

What about Collison, Okafor and the 12th?

I think that is pretty fair and the Clippers get a guy who can start at pg and give Blake the keys to the castle.
