Kahn

Finally Khan is on th elast year of his contract, and there are some rumors of Flip Saunders taking over the position. First, Owner Glenn Taylor is lookin go to sell the team, and Flip is currently part of a group that are interesetd in the purchase which would also lead to Flip taking over Kahn's job.

I beg you please let this happen. Sure Kahn assembled a respectable roster, (not his fault almost all got hurt), but he is one of the worst drafters ever. His mentality of drafting players at posions that we already have talent at is annoying to say the least. Lets take a &$#%#&@! ton of PG's so we can have a ton, lets draft a player witht the second pick to backup our best player and never get any minutes......his one silver dollar is Rubio, and that was gift wrapped for him.

Please end this very old tune and bring in Flip! Are you guys feeling me on this?

Flip's OK

I'm not totally sold on Flip. But at this point, the octopus who predicted the World Cup wins could make better draft picks than Kahn, so yeah, I'll take anybody over him.

I really don't understand how

I really don't understand how owners pick their management sometimes. Flip Saunders is picked on the same principles as Steve Kerr on the Suns. They both are gifted orators, being able to articulate what makes players great and how a team wins. But in the end it's not real experience.... selecting Flip is a sexy pick but not a convincing one IMO.

GMs should be selected if they real experience such as cap management or scouting players. And that doesn't mean that an owner has to pick a candidate who is an old face in the biz. I get it... picking up some dinosaur in bbal management with no real accomplishment isn't a very sound choice.

However, you CAN still pick someone with real experience and who is a fresh face. The perfect example is with Masai Ujiri, the GM for the Nuggets. His experience as a basketball player is nice, but that's not what got him selected. What separated him was his scouting abilities and assistant positions.

I like Flip. I really do. I just don't like him being touted as a potentially great GM. He very well could be great, but he is far from being a proven candidate. Who could be a better fit? I'm not sure.... I didn't know Ujiri until he took his current position. But I'm sure there's another Ujiri out there.

i would like to see some team

i would like to see some team from some sport some day have a fantasy say basketball contest. the winner has a chance to become a gm or advisor for the team holding the contest. it might sound silly, but it is what fantasy sports are all about. i know there is much more to being a gm but i would take a guy that can win a competitive fantasy league year after year than some of the bonehead gms like kahn out there. i would like to see what just a regular joe out there with a savy sports mind can do. it is many people's dream, so why not try it out and see if it works? heck, the team could even make money off of it by making it a popular reality show or something if they wanted.
