HitsterParticipantKevin Love has just broken the NBA first quarter point scoring record and registered the 2nd best quarter ever with 34 points in tonight’s game vs the Blazers.
He landed 8 3-pointers in that spell, so we may be witnessing something fairly spectacular.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantDidn’t see the game but if I would have thought someone from Cleveland would have scored that many points in a quarter I would’ve guessed it was kyrie. We all know what love is capable of from his time in Minnesota but he just wouldn’t seem to get the touches to put up those kind of numbers in Cleveland. Definitely surprising to say the least.
I will say that love has looked more comfortable so far this year and is definitely playing better than he has at any time in Cleveland. I still think his skill set is somewhat marginalized in their offense and he becomes too much of a standstill shooter but him being in that role does really open up the floor for lebron and kyrie.

markfitz14ParticipantHe still sucks on defense. I questioned his grit on D. Looks like he finally is turning it up a notch now though. Maybe it just took a little playoff basketball to turn the corner. He can be a good defender if he hustles on D and contests shots every time.

A Lil EnglishParticipantYea he aint winning no defensive awards but neither are other stars (such as Blake Griffin) but i dont see them get hated on half as much

markfitz14ParticipantPlayers have called Blake soft to the media. That is some hate. KLove gets it more being in the spot light more being on the Cavs. He plays with the greatest player of our generation. Honestly KLove is fitting better and better with the Cavs now though. If they start losing he will prbly get the hate again though. He compliments Lebron very nicely. He just needs to at least try to protect the rim. Slow somebody down.

nick5354ParticipantLove is quiettly (not so now) averaging a 20/10 line, 22/11 if rounded up

SmooveKRYPTParticipantHe finally bought in & fully trusted the system and his teammates. He’s hitting the offensive glass hard again (an area where he used to excel in MIN) As a result he’s getting more attempts from the field and ft line than he ever has, and he also has the best shot distribution he’s had since being in Cleveland. Him being this engaged and effective only makes them an even deadlier team

Mr. HookShotParticipantAnd the otherway around I would say, his teammates and the team in general (incl. coaching staff) is finally starting to understand how to use Love to his strenghts.
