He’s playing some good ball lately…. averaging just under 13/6/3 w/ 2+ steals & 7 total three’s over his past 5 games. He played 38 minutes tonight in their overtime loss to the Wizards.

Not saying he looks like a guy worthy of 4 future first rounders (BTW was this ever confirmed???? Just doesn’t seem like an Ainge type of move) but he’s looking like a solid contributor on a playoff team. Which is quite a bit more than what he’s appeared to be early on in an injury riddled rookie contract.

I hope he stays healthy. He has a lot of positional versatility, and if he’s making his shots he’ll find his way on the floor for 30+ minutes for years to come.

But if Miami even turned down 2 potential 1st rounders in a trade with Boston, someone should lose their job…

IDC if it was Pat Riley himself, he’s always seemed like a snake oil salesman to me

I think Ainge did like Justice and he might have offered Miami a draft pick or two for his rights hoping he’d become what Brown and Tatum appear to be now, kinda funny how lucky the Celtics are in a vacuum

I think Winslow goes the MKG route and under performs his draft position but he’s still a good defender and can stick in the NBA…I just don’t see a Star when I look at Einslow, solid 4th or 5th guy IMO

It all depends on where you projected him going to how you feel about him…

To be fair as a 10 pick(when healthy that is) he has looked like a solid contributor.  The issue is that so far he has had quite a few injuries which is why he isn’t showing to much just yet.. But if his shot stays consistent he should be fine, my guess is a legit starter on the heat or a 6th man or  part time starter on contender is where his future lies.

As for the the Celtics trade offer thank F**k they didn’t take that deal as that was a trash can deal(picks were lower and nothing after 15/16 was anygood(offered 16,28+ high 2nd rounders) .Why you ask go check how many of those picks are even in the league/even contributing..If anything I wonder if they are kicking themselves for taking Winslow and not Booker at 10..Also I put Ainge and Riley in the same conversation both will try fleece you if they can with give up a lesser value player..

He played HS ball literally less than 5 miles from me, and I never saw "it" in him. Overrated athlete, bad handle, can’t create his own shot or for others… Wrote on here before he got drafted that he’d struggle and got hammered, but he’s definitely not played well. Trading a single 1st round pick for him, let alone 4, would be insane.

I still think he can be a solid, above average starter but he isn’t what the Heat need.  They need scoring in their starting lineup and with guys like James Johnson in the SL, Winslow is kinda redundant there.  His defense is still fantastic and he has the versatility to defend 2-4, but IMO defensive specialists have less value coming off the bench.  He has improved his 3 ball, can handle PnR and he’s a good passer, but his lack of scoring and passive play below the arc are detriments to a team sorely needing scoring. IMO if the Heat had one more dynamic scorer in their SL, say at the PF position, Winslow would be of greater value to the team.
