STATnMeloParticipantIf Chicago traded Luol Deng to Detroit for Rip Hamilton and then trade Ronnie Brewer to Milwaukee for Corey Maggette for instance would they be better than a healthy Boston Celtic line up
Rose vs Rondo
Hamilton vs Allen
Maggette vs Pierce
Boozer vs Garnett
Noah vs Perkins
Korver/Bogans/Watson/Gibson/Thomas vs Robinson/West/Daniels/Davis/O’Neal
Thibodeau vs Rivers
That would be somethin special to watch

omphalosParticipantThat team would not hang with the Celtics. Every one of those Celtics players is better than their Bulls counterparts barring Noah and they would fit better as a team too. Besides, Deng is playing good and spreads the floor with his good shooting this season.

SwatLakeCityParticipantIf the Bulls want Maggette, they’re going to have to offer more than Brewer. Brewer is not that good. He can play, but the Bucks use Maggette for his scoring. Take that away and they’ll have to rely even more on Bogut and Jennings. Brewer is not a scorer so I doubt the bucks would agree. Rip is a good thought but he will not help the Bulls beat the Celtics. Besides Maggette isn’t even that good. He is no Deng and he certainly is no Pierce. He is an even worse defender than Deng is, so this trade would really light up Pierce’s eyes.

DowJonezBFGParticipantDeng is actually a better player than Rip at this point in their careers and Deng is only 25 anyway so he has a lot higher of a ceiling than Rip to even get better. I think the Bulls miss Ben Gordon more. That yr when the went toe to toe with the C’s in the playoffs Ben had a big effect on how well Chicago did. At this point the C’s are just too deep of a team with rondo, allen, pierce, KG, Perkins, Shaq, Jermaine Oneal, Nate, West, and Big baby and Daniels are giving them good productive minutes off the bench. Above all Chicago is using a system that Boston has already mastered so the C’s would be more than just heavily favored. Booz can’t hold down KG on the blocks he may communicate defensively but u can never count on him to even contain some like a Garnett who is playing like a man possessed this season.

jaysmith1987ParticipantThe celts are the deepest team in the league this year alot of there backups could start somewhere. They have perfect balance of scorers defenders and hustle guys and when perkins gets back 3 stsrting caliber centers and shaq cant b stopped in, limited mins.
