This is a bit of an old story, but i just wanted to make sure yall knew who I was talking about….Julyan Stone is a 6’7 point guard who is averaging 9 pts 5.3 assists and 7.5 rebs as a POINT GUARD!  I think this guy can be what shaun livingston was suppose to be….not many people heard of this guy, but I think he can be a surprise early second round to late first round pick especially if he has some good workouts….what do you guys think? i think this kid can be special

I’m a big fan of Stone’s game and the Miners. I do think he could be an NBA player and very much like Shaun Livingston, but I’m not sure about a possible first round pick. Even if he goes undrafted, I still think that he will find a place in the league.

Not trying to be a d!ck but COME ON MAN.

We’re talking about a senior in a bad conference who’s not even averaging double digits in scoring…

…yet you seriously think he can be what people thought Livingston would be.

Wasnt Livingston supposed to revoultionalize the PG position before his injury??? I doubt this guy is going to do that…

He’s not even in the top 3 of scoring in his own team.

I’ve been talking about Stone since the summer. LOVE Stone’s game and I like him as a prospect too. He’s not going to be more than a 2nd team or probable 3rd PG for a team, but he’s a good player and I hope he latches on somewhere. At 6’6, he can pass the ball, has the obvious great size, the ability to defend any perimeter position, and he’s a good athlete. He’s not going to score much or shoot the ball alot, but he has everything you look for in a PG besides that. He’s no pre-injury Shaun Livingston. Maybe the Livingston now though.

Second that. and even now Livingston is still a good defender and has above average vision. Gosh he was supposed to be so good. Unfortunately his rookie season was only a glimmer of what was to come.

Hey c’mon  man, as a Louisville fan i hate when guys clown Reece Gaines for being a bust. I blame that whole situation on Doc Rivers, First and foremost, Reece Gaines was never a point guard and any idiot could see that. He was the best playmaker we had so Pitino put the ball in his hands becuase he was a senior and you could trust him to make good decisions. It was sort of a Tyreke Evans situation at Memphis. Calipari fetlt like he needed the ball in his best players hands so he gave him the ball and told him to make plays. I think we all see in the case of Tyreke that 2 years in2 the league he is not a PG, he is a SG with exceptional ballhandling and breakdown ability. Doc Rivers kept tryna make Reece into something he wasnt and it failed. They also had projected D’Wayne Wade to be a PG an how did that work out??? I think Reece got an unfair shot in the league, becuase any NBA fan knows the scouts are enamored with big PGs……Leading to this discussion on Julyan Stone. An im sure he will get a shot juss because of his size at the position, although i bet if he was 6’2 with these same numbers he wouldnt even be thought of as a prospect.

and penny was my favorite all time player

i think hes a bit too unselfish but that would be beneficial in the nba as maybe a backup PG

great rebounder, tremendous court vision, can use a little work on his outside shooting and free throws shooting but he should definately be on an NBA roster come opening day of the 2011-2012 season
