I don’t see the comparison of PF’s people are comparing him to, he looks and plays like a SF in most of everything I’ve seen .

people continue to disagree with me, but Randle reminds me so much of Michael Beasley when he was in high school.  Too skilled, strong, and athletic for anyone on the high school level to deal with.  Hopefully he wants it a little more than my guy B Easy

yeah i compare him to B Easy to, im not as high on Randle tho. the couple times i seen him play he got in allot of foul trouble by trying to bully his way around. Thats not gonna work in the NBA. hes only 6’7 so hes undersized

Randle measured at 6’10 240 in summer camp

That’s like absolutely perfect PF size, he has good footwork, is very athletic, he can post up and has a midrange shot. He is ranked as the №1 player in his class by many, why is everyone on this site so low on him?

randle is a man amongst boys dominating using strength. got over rated skill set, and poor body language. he’s a high usage player who likes to pound the ball and surely dominate at the high school level with big question marks going into the future.

yes he is young and has room to grow but right now, it is what it is.

he is not a SF either in my eyes. he cant do much as far as dribbling in the half court other than the high post, and when he does he’s TO prone. he looks to be very fluid with his handles in the fast break but they are still too high and he has no shiftiness. he fits a mold of a PF with great straight line drives and no stable jump shot.

very little will to play the PnR or any sort of catch and shoot. so he must be a beast in the block right? while that might be the case in HS like i said previously, his post moves are very little "skill reliant" as he is just able to overpower and truck thru defenders. in addition to that, he doesn’t like to hit the LOW post and operates in the high post time and time again.

doesn’t really cut to the hoop much or read open lanes, doesn’t hustle much and doesnt strike me as a very willing, in your face defender.

he likes to rebound because that is the only way he can bring the ball down himself

Honestly I don’t think he is a small forward at all and I don’t see the Beasley comparison just because Beasleys jumpshot and array of move aren’t nearly identical to beasley .

If anything I think he is in the breed of Blake Griffin , huge ,mobile, explosive, and skilled but diffiantly a powerforward.Randle might not be as quick as griffin but he knows how to bully his way in the way.

I had always preferred him over Parker when parker was number 1. It think hes really nimble for his size, like an Athletic Zach Randolph maybe stronger terrance Jones. Beasleys jumpshot was such a weapon when he was in HS. Randle doesnt shoot it like B-Easy. But I think hes only gonna get better and so far , hes obviously strong , athletic , good touch and some decent shot creating moves and handle for 6’9/10.

not sure wat his defense is like tho.

Do you believe he is 6’10 ?

A number of guys have been listed at some camp 6’10 or 6’11, that are usually under 6’9. He does not pass the eye test for me or the majority of the people here I believe on the site. At the very very best he is 6’8.5 in shoes too. I really would be willing to bet I’m more right than wrong on that department.

6’8.5 is right. he’s no lower than 6’8 and no taller than 6’9

I concur hes closer to 6’9 max but to me he has enough of a face up game at ‘this stage’ (HS) and is athletic enough to compesate. I think its fair to say that hes never gonna be a guy who plays the whole game with his back to the basket. McAdoo is about that height, the kid Anthony Bennett. I mean say he was an inch taller but his reach was the same does that extra inch mean much . A.Gordon is what 6ft 7. (incredible athlete) but hes not as skilled facing the basket as Randle (imo)Plus hes quite burly and can obviously move well with the weight. I just think he can only get better and  has great tools to start with. Still in HS remember

That’s offtopic, but why people on this board are always saying that Aaron Gordon is 6’7? He was measured at 6’8 in shoes last year and looks slightly taller this year. I have watched video where he and his older brother Drew practiced ant they looked the same height while Drew was measured at 6’9 in shoes.

I agree about Randle possibly having problems playing as 4 at NBA, Aaron Gordon is in similar position but from what I have seen he successfully work to improve his ball handing and outside shooting – skills that are neccessary for a 3. I would like to see Randle doing the same because I don’t think he has that type of body to become as strong as Randolph.

Comparision to Beasley is way off, Randle is nowhere the shooter Beasley is.

It’s HS. I’m sure when he gets to college he will be a post player. He will probably be used like Terrance Jones was. What do you expect from him in HS? He’s going to dominate in the post too. He is a legit PF prospect, looks bigger and stronger than Beasley. He does look like a more athletic Zach Randolph, he just needs to work on his post game which will come as he moves up a level.

Terrance was a top, 5 star prospect… Julius is tops in the nation (1 or 2). I think his athletism is getting overlooked here. He is an absolute specimen. I’m sure, IN SHOES he’s at least 6’9, but look how explosive he is on his dunks! It is out of this world.

Randle reminds me of Tyreke Evans in Josh Smith’s body, he bullies his way to the basket like Evans did at Memphis and in his 1st year with the Kings, he is just blessed with a few more inches and a more explosive burst off the ground

oh my goodness, if randle had reke’s handles i think he would be ranked before wiggins.

i don’t wanna hate but this guy is drawing the craziest comparisons right now! he’s not beasly, he’s not reke in josh smith body, he’s not zach randolph, and for damn sure he aint blake griffin. i couldn’t tell you if he’s chris webber cuss im not that familiar with him.

if anything, there are similarities with terrence jones, but right now, randle is randle imho
