While there are a lot of talks about Jabari Parker i see no love for Julius Randle i really like his game even as a 17years old 6’9 240 pf he is special with some Blake Griffin type of quickness and athleticism but more and more i see him as a great ball handler and solid shooter, plus i remember last year he left a lot of games with like 4 or 5 assists , all that show that this kid might have even bigger potential as a big freakishly strong and agressive small forward, something like what Michael Beasley should have been..thoughts?

Reminds me of Terrence Jones. About the same size with ball handling skills, not overwhelming athleticism but decent, and strong as a bull. Looks to be a good future pro.

Terrence Jones at 16-17 years old was about 6’8 225 , this kid is a little quicker than Jones and is about 15-20lbs and hair height wise above Jones at the same age , so a bit more physically impressive than Jones he is Jones type physical as Jr in HS like Jones was this past year in college. To me he is Michael Beasley with his head on straight even though he does not have a big wingspan it’s only 6’11 but it’s not bad just not 7’1 or 7’2 like you see in a lot of top prospects. It will be interesting to see what position he plays going forward because I can see him as SF in the pros but if in the next 3-4 years he grows any more he almost will have to be a PF if he ends up being 6’10-6’11.

Anybody see Larry Brown getting this guy as his first huge recruit for SMU?  He is a Dallas native so you know he is on their radar at the very least.

I’m intrigued by Randle. I don’t know what position he will end up at, but he should be an upper level player regardless.
