Josh Smith to Washington
Unprotected pick that'll likely be lotto for an unrestricted FA? Nah.
They got rid of the boneheads in Washington and I don't think Smith is the type of guy they are looking for, as proof his recent track record. He is a great player I just don't think he would fit into what Washington is trying to do.
I would think Smith would resign there, but I think you have a point about him being a bonehead. What do you think is the best they can expect for him?
The Wizards look good for next year. Okafor has been great of late, with Nene at PF
Wall
Beal / Crawford
Webster / Singleton / Ariza
Nene / Booker
Okafor
plus they have a lotto pick next year. They have enough assets to trade for Smith (he would have to sign a long term contract with them for the trade to go through)
Won't happen. Wall's up for an extension next year they have a lot of money invested in Nene and Smith thinks he's worth max money. Wizards are content with the lotto pick and Okafor been a double-double machine as of late.
Can we make a rule that when posting a trade opinion you can't title it "X to Portland".
It should be accompanied by something like "X to Portland Trade Proposal".

What do you all think about Smith to Washington for Okafor and '13 unprotected pick? Washington always seems willing to swap picks for young veterans and I think they are desperate to make playoffs vs drafting another young guy. Atlanta gets Okafor to play center, and dude has been balling as of late. With a top 4 pick, they can add BMac or Bazz to be Teague's backcourt mate, or Noel to learn behind Okafor. Even with Okafor contract, they still will have space to sign a max contract.
