This is a great read on Jonathan Hargett. He was a former high school phenom that some may not have heard about before.

I saw him play a few times at National Christian during his SR year and at a D.C.Summer League before his freshman year(he tried the off-the-backboard dunk several times and hit it once that I saw) at West Virginia and definitely thought he’d be in the NBA at some point. The Washington Post did an article on him during his SR year at National Christian which sort of foreshadowed the troubles that he eventually ran into. The article mentioned that he had been to 5 or 6 high schools and there were lots of questions about his eligibility. J.Hargett probably could have been a first round pick had he been able to stay at West Virgina 1 more year and toned down the erratic play.
